Meet the Author

I was born and raised in Nebraska, but spent my college years traveling the world. I fell in love with Eastern Europe, Paris, Indian Food and the beautiful beaches of Sri Lanka. But I came back home to marry my high school sweetheart and now I spend my days raising our growing family. In those few spare moments I have, I am either reading or writing Young Adult Fiction, because I am obsessed with it.

Five other things I'm obsessed with right now:
1. My Kuerig Coffee Machine. Genius.
2. 90's music. Oh man, the 90's speak right to my soul.
3. Chocolate smelling body wash. Who doesn't want to walk around smelling like a bakery?
4. Colored Chapstick. And if it's Dr. Pepper Flavored, that's kind of my nirvana.
And.
5. Spotify. It's like the mixed-tape of this generation and I have probably three hundred hours of music on there. Can't get enough.

Not as much action in this one. More of a love story, even though the confrentations with the king are witty and frightening all in one! The exchanges between eden and kiran are nicely done........BUT she is still WAY to slow! Come on, if she is truely going to become queen dont u think she could fiure out his little secret with all the hints they throw at her! And advice from a mom u have only met twice would be something u made sure u got, uderstood and reveled in! Not played dumb, agreed with and didnt think of agian! As with all the books this is my only complaint. They really are good books u just have to get past her stupidity in each book!

The last book in this series is amazing! All the loose ends are tied up and the adventure, romance, and magic is always constant all the way through the book. The romance is sweet and true, and the adventure is orignal and thrilling. Read this series, you will not forget it!

I truly, honestly do not know where to start. This series had me so tightly pulled in so many directions I couldn't tell you which end was up. But trust me, it was a good thing. When a book can have that effect on you, actually all four books, you know it is a winner. What did I love about Endless Magic? Well for starters I loved Eden's character so very much. I cannot believe how much she has grown over the course of the series. From the moment we first meet her until the end...she is a different person. It's kind of sad...they grow up so quickly. *sniff sniff* And I loved Kiran's character. Yeah I know I have went on and on before about how much I hate him, but he really is a great character. Throughout this book I started liking him more and more through his actions. Now whether Eden ends up with him or Jericho is not for me to answer. Because I will say that Jericho is pretty stinkin’ awesome too. I also loved how Endless Magic played out. I liked the whole idea of Eden being forced to live with Kiran at the castle. Because if it wasn’t for that time she wouldn’t have been able to realize half the stuff she did while there if she was off in some remote part of the world trying to figure out ways to bring King Lucan down. Watching old feelings emerge and new ones spark…eeep! I lost it. It was fun seeing it happen right before my very eyes. What did I not like about Endless Magic? I think the only problem I had was just the way the whole ‘war/battle’ went down. Not so much that I didn’t like it, but it came off as kind of rushed. Like it started one second and then over the next. But will that stop me from rating it 5 glorious stars? No stinkin’ way! This book earned every single star. With Endless Magic I was captivated until the very end and had the biggest grin on my face when I turned off my nook. Rachel did an amazing job tying up the series and giving us readers a couple to fall in love with all over again. Of course, now that I have officially made it out alive from this series (with my blood pressure back down to normal)…I need to look into her other works. Fabulous job Rachel, I loved the series and sad that it is over.

The first books really grabbed me, but this book really annoyed me. It was like things were going down a certain enjoyable path and then it just abruptly turned. I've read books where abrupt turns add to the story, but I felt in this case it took the story backwards and in turn it took away from the ending. It did finish the story out which gave me closure, but it wasn't as satisfying as I hoped.

In a lot of theese types of books the heroine gets weaker as the book or series progresses. But in this book she has the same or more amount of determination as the beginning, but has a romance better than Twilight's.

One of the best series I have read, right up there with Twilight. I wouldn't be suprised if this isn't a canadate for a movie. Excellent story and the story has so many twists in it that you are not expecting, hard to put the book down.

Even though there was no sex..the chemistry, desire was all still there..not many grammer errors if any. This just was a very good series. My only complaint was it took how many books to get to the ending, and then it ended so quickly, like lets say 20 pages maybe. But it still ended well and cant complain about that. I hope Rachel intends to write more books, or maybe pick up with these charachters to let us know what is going on in there lives later on. I really recommend this series.

More crying and whining Eden. She actually redeemed herself in the third book. That is why I finished the series. Skip through the middle of this book. About 400 pages of Eden crying. Awesome plot though. I love the author's writing too, but man did she kill me with Eden's ridiculous behavior. I was actually thrilled when the othet characterd call her out on her bratty behavior. More blah blah blah

I really enjoyed the Star-Crossed series, though all four books desperately need an editor. My deduction in scoring is primarily for the quality of the final product. If an author wants us to buy books, the least she should do is get her work professionally edited. I mean really, "preface" instead of "pretense", to say nothing of the numerous misplaced words throughout the draft? All that aside, the story was well-told, the characters mostly believable, and the action well-paced. One major exception: the king was pretty cheesy - he reminded me of a spoiled kid or a Disney villain: his "I can do whatever I want because I'm the king..." attitude grew a little tedious. If he'd had a slightly more believable justification for his craziness, this series would have been much better. I also could have done without any hint of a love triangle, but maybe I'm alone in this opinion. Eden makes a fun, sassy heroine, though I generally find 1st-person narration tedious, and, in the case of a teenage main character, childish. This series would have been that much better written from a 3rd-person limited perspective, perhaps focused exclusively on Eden the way Harry Potter focuses just on Harry's emotions and thoughts. I also enjoyed the descriptions of magic, though I'd have liked a little bit more on the consequences of using magic. It wasn't clear to me if the Immortals all had just an endless supply of magic always at their beck and call.

I just finished this final book in the series and i have to say that this is a fantastic series that i couldnt stop reading. I fell in love with kiran and couldnt wait to find out if eden ended up with him. After finishing the third book i couldnt wait for the fourth. I even called barnes and noble to find out when the final book was coming out. It took longer to come out than i expected but it was well worth the wait!!!!!

I read all 4 books in less than a week! It had an awesome storyline and captivating characters. I have no complaints other than i wish there was a 5th book, just because... do not pass this series up. It is definitely worth it!! Thank you Rachel!

Amazing, i even cryed at the end, not because it was sad or dissapointing just cause it was such a great ending. Idnt know how higgison did it but even after all the heartbreak she manage to pull of a happy ending for everyone. Great way to rap up the series!

while I get a little annoyed with the heroine (but that's to be expected with a teenage girl as the main character--they are annoying!), I had a hard time putting the book down. I was a little disappointed with the ending, and just like the other books in the series, it had editing mistakes. But it is addicting--the whole series is. It's hard to put down!

This series is amazingly amazing! (If that makes sense) this series kept me in my room for two days o me doing nothing but reading!!! This is a great ending to a great series but i really wish there would be just one more book to just tie up any loose ends like what happened to eden abd kiran? Did anyone else get married? Who had babies did eden hav babies, did lilly have babies? Did she get martied i mean theres endless possiblities for you to write another book hell you could even write two extra books and mak it a six book series!!!! Uhh anyway i just really love this book and can wait for her other series to ome out an i hope it was as good as this one!!!

Great for teens too, great clean very well written. Fell in love with all the people in this series. I am up at 1:19 am just finishing it. Yes great way to end a great series. I have only one thing to say she did get a little drawn out in the end bit, BUT! the last couple of chapters were so worth the wait THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! IT IS GREAT!!!! Cant wait to see and read the new series she is coming out with. The BEST 900+ pages I ever read! Well worth the little this series cost. And to think it all started with the first FREE BOOK!!!!

I couldn't put this book down! The final in the series was a wonderful ending to a saga I could not get enough of! I was totally taken in by Eden's courage, humor, and strength and the love story was appropriately placed beside a woderful message of strength through adversity. Read all four of the books in the series. You will not be disappointed!

The only action was at the end of the book. But i am content with the book overall. I am sooooo happy that Kiran and Eden found their happiness together.

A must read loved all four books!

Loved all four books it has been a long time since I have sat down and read book after book. I finished all four books in a week. I am so glad I found the series when it was all already written or I would have been stuck in a state of suspense! Great character development you really felt like you knew the characters. There were a few grammatical errors but I tend to think that happens sometimes in a crossover to a digital format. I think these books would be fantastic in a movie series. I wish it wasn't over but I can't wait to see what Rachel Higgenson comes out with next!
