This was a really great short story and I'm hoping that there will be more written about this family. Kiernan and Melina had good chemistry and I enjoyed their family dynamics. I wish that there was more about Kiernan's family then just Ronan. Katie writes really great romantic suspense stories and I highly recommend you read this story.

    Enemy Mine by Katie Reus

Kiernan Doyle is a sexy two hundred year old vampire that has a hatred for shifters. Especially as a wolf shifter was responsible for the death of his brother a hundred years ago.

Melina Rodriguez in the youngest and only daughter of Nevada, Alpha of the Rodriguez pack. She has led a sheltered life always protected and very wary of people trying to be with her because of wanting something or wanting to do something to her family.

Kiernan knows he shouldn't feel the way he does for Melina but somehow she got under his skin after a passionate night together a year ago and now he wants her in his bed forever. Melina has tried to avoid Kiernan at all cost the things he makes her feel scares her. Determined to deter him Melina agrees to go out with Kiernan as long as he pick her up at her house knowing the bad blood between the families Melina is sure he will decline but Kiernan accepts.

At the restaurant Melina is confronted by a female vampire and given some information regarding Kiernan so she decides to ask him for the truth. When Kiernan avoids her questions Melina decides to leave and hails a cab. Turmoil ensues when the cab is run off the road and someone tries to kidnap Melina she is hurt and not healing properly and when Kiernan arrives and sees what has happened he out for blood.

Can Kiernan keep it together long enough to find out who is behind the attack and keep Melina safe? Will the Rodriguez pack come after him thinking it is his fault and try to take Melina away from him?

Enemy Mine was a great read and hopefully Katie Rues will return to these characters and extend it into a series
