Library Journal
Bioenergy healing is an alternative therapy based on the idea that we all have energy passing through and around us, some of it positive, some of it negative. In China, this energy force is called chi; in the West, it's known as a life force, or aura. Moscow-born but now based in London, Svirinskaya gave up her traditional medical training to follow in her mother's footsteps and practice Russian bioenergy healing, and in this ostensible first book on the subject, she shares the knowledge she acquired from five generations of her maternal line. Her compellingly written and informative book provides a balanced view of this alternative healing approach. Readers are shown how to manage their life energy through diet, supplements, exercise, and other therapies. A foreword by disciple Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, attests to the mental, emotional, and physical benefits. Suitable for any consumer health library with a large alternative therapy section.-Marge Kars, Bronson Methodist Hosp. Lib., Kalamazoo, MI Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.
