    **Fun Read for Werewolf fans**

Enforcer is the first book in Lauren Dane's Cascadia Wolves, a series surrounding the Warden family werewolf pack.

Nina Reyes has lead a tough life...Her parents die when she is a teenager, she gets stuck raising her younger brother, and ends up homeless.. all within a short time span. To survive, Nina turns to crime, more specifically, computer hacking, which she finds she is surprisingly good at. Despite her talent, Nina knows what she does is wrong, and vows to quit just as soon as she has enough money saved for her and her brother to get a fresh start in a new town. Unfortunately, her brother Ryan gets in with the wrong crowd and while at a bar one night, gets bit by a werewolf. Just when Nina thinks she can finally go on with her life, her brother shows up on her doorstep with rogue werewolves out to kill him. Once again, Nina vows to do whatever it takes to protect him.

Lex Warden is the enforcer and also second in command to one of the largest werewolf packs in the country. His reputation precedes him as being the most ruthless enforcer alive, and as such, is treated by fellow pack mates with the utmost respect. Lex suspects that Nina's brother is involved with rogue werewolves, and as his position dictates, sets off to question Ryan. Lex ends up on Nina's doorstep and is immediately taken aback. There is something about Nina that captures Lex's full attention, aside from the gun she so eloquently aims at his man goods. One thing leads to another, and the revelation that Nina is Lex's life mate becomes evident all too soon. Lex makes it his mission to claim Nina, in both body and soul.

I loved this book. Only 164 pages long, a lot smaller than what I normally read, Enforcer had all the elements of a 300 page book, minus the page after page of unnecessary back story and dialogue. For me, Nina is such a likeable character. She is smart, streetwise, sarcastic, and has a comeback for everything. Nina's term of endearment for her mate being Scooby is just one example of her "SmartArsery." Lex is the perfect match for her. He is strong, brave, and mostly stubborn, and combined with Nina's strong will make for some great reading entertainment, including extremely hot bedroom scenes. Did I mention really hot "in between the sheets" scenes? Whoa baby, and one scene in particular involving a bed, Nina, Lex, and a certain someone else left me with my mouth a gaping. One word....TRIBOND! {Hee, hee. You'll have to read to find out who the said third party is!!}This is such a fun book. Fan's of Larisa Ione and Kresley Cole will appreciate this series!

My only complaint with Enforcer is that the ending was too abrupt. I felt there should have been more resolution, especially since the events leading up to the ending were pretty intense. I guess I'll have to read book #2, Reluctant, to see what happens next.

    Really enjoyed it...

Good storyline and characters. I only wish it could have been longer instead of just 167 pages. Highly recommend.

    Not worth the money.

*SPOILERS* The 'sassy' heroine just comes across as childish and annoying. She literally argues about EVERYTHING with her 'Big Bad' hero-mate, who is supposedly so fierce all other wolves are scared of him but he can't stand up to his overbearing mate, who gets her way every single time. Not to mention she is allotted no status because she's a human even while mated to the pack enforcer, which of course gets her in dire trouble. Oh, and the tri-bond that is just thrown in for inplausible reasons. There was very little I liked about this story and will not be reading further.

    Great read.

The story flowed very easy and kept my interest all the way through. I loved Nina's spunk and the banter between her and Lex. The intimate scenes were fantastic! Can't wait to read the next book....

    Warm and Fuzzy

I'm a sucker for werewolf romance and this book fulfilled my every desire. Not only were the sex scenes sizzling but the plot held true to the end. Some storylines peter out by the end but not this one.

    Great read

High in erotic, but a really good story. Though I felt the ending was a tad rushed. Nina is a good strong character. Loved the nicknames she would come up with.

Was not impressed. Dialogue sounded cheesy for thirtysomethings.

Was not impressed. Dialogue sounded cheesy for thirtysomethings. The hero was way to weak for an Enforcer. The Alpha wasn't much better. And the story dragged for a ho-hum.

Disappointing story line and characters. I'm normally a Lauren D

Disappointing story line and characters. I'm normally a Lauren Dane fan but this felt childish. The main characters were emotionally immature. The sex scenes were boring. This werewolf society felt archaic at best. And while I don't mind threesomes  (in other books they can be hot), in this one it felt contrived and added little to the story. If this was my first book by this author I would not be reading any more.
