    A Timeless Classic

This book is as fresh and relevant today as it was in the 1970s, when I used it. Of all of the books that I have encountered during my education - medical school, residency training - Blumenthal's book stands out as having had the greatest impact on me. English 2600 is completely engaging, with positive reinforcement built in by design. The flexibility of the program makes the book an ideal choice for classes composed of individual students of widely varing abilities. It is especially valuable for students with attention deficits, as gratification is immediate.

    Great For Teens and Adults

As a teacher I have used it for remedial high school and college English. Students say that 'This is the first time I have understood English.' Easy to follow! Also there are two other levels: 2200 (easier) and 3200 (more advanced). All work well.

Used this in highschool, now I'm using it with my grade schoolers

This is a great book to get for kids who can't stand to spend many minutes studying. It teaches the user how to write gramatically correct sentances by: 1) asking the user a simple question, 2) provides space to write (or circle) a short answer, 3) provides immediate feedback on the next page with the correct answer. In short there are just over 2600 questions and answers that guide the student through the English language with very gradual increasing difficulty. I highly recommend this book. It is a very painless way to learn basic writing skills.
