This is a beautiful book whose pages give the reader a glimpse into the quirky yet charming cottages which dot the English countryside. I enjoyed the anecdotal information -- such as the history of the cottage and details about the owners. For instance, in describing the current owners' purchase of Smuggler's Haunt, the text states, 'The house was already known to them, having previously been owned by friends.' I felt as though I, too, were a friend being welcomed with open arms into the cozy interiors and lovely gardens of these quaint cottages. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
