Editorial Reviews

Book Girl
Very well-written and humorous guide to teaching English abroad. Based on an infamous blog I've been following for awhile. The blog is filled with vulgarities and crazy anecdotes, and it's actually laugh-out-loud funny; the book doesn't disappoint. While some parts are clearly tongue-in-cheek (more than once, the author muses whether or not a career in fast food or hairdressing is preferable to teaching English abroad), the book has great practical advice for those seeking information on TEFL. Must have for all new English teachers

The book is an intelligent and witty appraisal of the modern TEFL scene. Many people enter the profession unprepared with a mind set taken from the portrayal of English teaching in movies and on television. This book presents an unbiased and expereinced viewpoint on what people can expect.

It's a must have for newbies but also a nostalgic journey down memory lane for all those who have been there and done that.
