One lost summer is time best left forgotten...

When Minneapolis divorce attorney, Billie Fredrickson, inherits her uncle's small California winery, she has no intention of actually moving to the west coast and starting a new life. Her only thought is to get it off her hands as quickly as possible. But her return to the winery after an absence of twenty years opens up more than the reading of her uncle's will. Childhood memories, long-buried, begin to surface, prompting questions that no one is able or willing to answer.

A late night prowler, a break-in at the winery, and an unearthed box of shocking photographs is someone's way of pulling the welcome mat out from under Billie's feet, but it only makes her dig her heels in deeper.

Secrets lie buried beneath Fredrickson Winery's innocent facade and Billie intends to get to the root. But disturbing the past lays bare the skeletons of others, including her mother's. Can she live with the consequences, or will she run home where everyone is Minnesota nice?

    Excellent - a must read!

Entangled by Barbara Ellen Brink is excellent! Billie Fredrickson inherits her uncle Jack's winery and goes back to the place she had forgoten long ago. Just as I thought I knew where the story was taking me, it turned again and again. Billie was a friend as the story progressed. At times my heart pounded in the darkness as she searched to resolve the mystery that haunted her from long ago.

    Romance Mystery Tangled Together

I just finished reading the book Entangled by Barbara E Brink. It was an exciting fun ride. The main character's personality and personal tragedy affect your heart as you learn of her unresolved issues while the mystery and romance unfold. The book is hard to put down and keeps you engaged as the pages roll by. The twists and turns will keep you guessing what will happen until the very end. The book is well worth the money and time spent. I recommend it whole-heartedly. I want to know what will happen in upcoming issues for this character, and I can't wait for the next book. Good work Barbara!

I had never read anything by her before. This book keep me reading, I hated it to end. Because I liked the book so well I bought her other book "Crushed" which was just as good.

    Great mystery!

Review by Zita:I very much enjoyed this mystery. It was easy to engage with the main protagonist. Ms. Brink has written a well-rounded and likable character. You find yourself taking the journey alongside her, which is the mark of a well-written piece of fiction. The world Ms. Brink invites you to visit is realistic and completely believable. I don't want to say too much about this story, because the mystery is such an important part of it and I don't want to ruin it for you. What I will say is if you like a good mystery, you'll really enjoy this one, and I highly recommend it.

    A quick read

I finished this book in 2 days. I have found that a lot of books don't hold my attention and I find them quite boring. This to me was an easy read. I would recommend it if you aren't looking for something heavy to read!

Good read. Couldn't wait to read what happened next. Loved the way the writer brought the 2 lovers together. Not a mushy love story. Has enough love & suspense to keep ya reading.

Great mystery around a sensitive topic

Although I didn't really like the heroine at the beginning of the story - I grew to like her spunk as the plot developed. Great fast read with twists and turns that kept me interested all the way to the end.

Good Book! If your into wine and mystery...

Good book overall. Thought the ending was a little short. Thought there could have been a little more 'HMPH!' to it. I know the subject matter can be a little 'scary' at times... Overall: I gave it 3 stars, which to me means 'I liked it'.

    very good book

This is a good read. In fact I want to get the second one but just to cheap to pay for it right now. It took me a couple of chapters to get interested, but then I settled right in and enjoyed it.

Billie must recover her past before it is used against her to destroy her future.

An attorney living in Minnesota inherits a winery in California from an uncle that she doesn't remember. As soon as she arrives memories begin to surface and nightmares return. Just enough truth like repressed memories and glimpses of the past to make it believable. Main cause is identified fairly early in the book but twist at the end you don't see coming.

I enjoyed the characters. The mother daughter banter and good development of new relationships based partially onold memories.
