Jaia Thomas is a sports and entertainment attorney with seasoned experience on both coasts. Her principal clients include motion picture companies, as well as individual screenwriters and filmmakers. Her practice areas also encompass television, fashion, sports and new media.

She has been featured in numerous publications including ESPN (“Athletes Trademarking the Phrase that Pays”), The New York Times (“Sports Stars Seek Profit in Catchphrases”) and USA Today (“Colin Kaepernick Defends Move to Protect Personal Brand”). She has had scholarly works published in the American Bar Association, National Bar Association, Arizona State Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and Pace Law Intellectual Property Sports and Entertainment Law Forum.

She is a graduate of Colgate University (BA) and The George Washington University Law School (JD). She is also a graduate of The University of California, Los Angeles School of Television, Film and New Media Production. She is a member of the American Bar Association and New York Bar Association.
