4.5 out of 5 stars RVD's writing style is always so perfect.

    4.5 out of 5 stars

RVD's writing style is always so perfect.  I never get tired of reading her books nor do I ever get really frustrated with where she takes her stories.  They flow well and she can hook me in a book usually in the first sentence and I'm happy to report Entice is no different.  The story picks up right where Elect left us, Chase has accepted Mil's proposal and is getting ready to walk down the aisle.  Obviously this rush into marriage seems crazy since he his still head over heels in love with Trace, but he figures he can suffer through anything for a year and is willing to do whatever he can to help protect Mil, especially considering their history.

This time around we get to alternate between multiple POV’s, which to be honest I found myself really enjoying.  I felt it took the story to a whole new level, allowing us to dive even deeper into the mafia world.  In Entice we get the POV of Chase, Mil, Nixon and Tex (who is hysterically funny!).  Their individual perspectives and knowledge of the past were intriguing and allowed me to feel more connected to the group as a whole.  While Nixon is still my favorite and I loved getting to see plenty of him and Trace is this book, I have to admit , Chase gave him a run for his money in Entice.  And, after reading the epilogue I am pretty sure in the next book, Tex might give the both of them a run, who doesn't love a bad boy with a sense of humor!

So many fans of this series are team Chase and many of you probably wanted him to end up with Trace (although we didn’t!), but let me tell you, once you read Entice you will know without a doubt Trace and Chase were never meant to be.  It was always going to be Mil.  Mil truly brings out the best in Chase, they challenge one another and there's no denying their shared chemistry.  Chase didn't really understand love or what being in love really felt like until he finally opened himself up to the possibility of someone other than Trace.  I couldn't have been more sold on his feelings for Mil than when he discovers and admits that true love is not at all about him and what he wants.  I love that he is a fierce protector and that he is a take charge leader as well, but also knows when to take a back seat to others.  Entice really opened up a new side of Chase and I am without a doubt a bigger fan of him than I previously was.  I'm excited to see what we hear from him in the next book.

Now on to his leading lady.  Mil is one strong character, she has gone through so much in her short life that it seems unfair she is thrown to the top of the De Lange mafia family.  But if anyone can take charge and make things happen it is her.  You won’t be disappointed in her character at all.  Through her POV I got a feel for not only her insecurities, but where they stemmed from.  I love how she always summoned just enough courage to get through every curve ball, how she tries to protect her heart from falling for an emotionally unavailable Chase, and loving watching the chips fall into place when all her walls finally crumble.  Getting to really know Mil was a treat.

I am a huge fan of the Eagle Elite series!  If you haven't already been sucked into this series, you're really missing out!  You're going to love all the guys, and who doesn't love an awesome mafia story?  Each installment gets better and better.  One-click all the books in this series today!

The mafia only gets better and better!

This is Chase and Mil’s story.

Chase, the boy who has been in love with Trace is asked to marry Mil, to protect her from what’s to come. He agrees, though he’s not certain why. She’s stubborn and is ready to cut his balls off, but she needs him. While nursing his broken heart, he gives in.

Mil, fell in love at fourteen years old with a boy she couldn’t have. She’s never stopped loving him, but she would never dare tell him that. After years of trying to push her feelings for his aside, they come rushing to the forefront when she asks him to marry her. Chase. She needs him to protect her for this next year. She needs his help and he doesn’t let her down.

As the two begin their married life, it is nothing at all how they expected it to go. Talk about a honeymoon from hell. But the two are drawn closer and closer and feelings are revealed on both parts.

The story wouldn’t be the same without Nixon, Trace, Tex, and Mo.

Nixon would do anything for his family and for his Trace, but can he marry her? Can he overcome being scared and give her the type of commitment she truly wants? Tex and Mo, oh my tempers flare. Mo is hurt because Tex let her down in the worst possible way. She knows she needs to move on but how can you move on from the love of your life?

Tex wants nothing more than to be with Mo, but he knows he’s no good for her. She deserves greatness and he’s just not that person. So he tells her to go and she listens.

When all hell breaks loose the crew comes together to fight the biggest war yet. Blood will be shed, tears will fall, screams, sadness, will all come. Will they all make it out alive or is it time’s up for someone?

I absolutely love this series! I can’t get enough of the Mafia!!!

Action, romance, suspense and a surprising bit of comedy ¿ the E

Action, romance, suspense and a surprising bit of comedy – the Eagle Elite series by Rachel Van Dyken contains all this and more, immersing readers in the unpredictable and dangerous world of the mafia. When your main characters are figureheads of a criminal organization, there is never a dull moment in the narrative, and the series' third installment, Entice, delivers epic amounts of drama and bloodshed. While the overarching narrative introduced in the previous two books continues through Nixon’s perspective, Entice introduces a new plot featuring protagonists Chase and Mil, one that reveals an imminent threat from a mysterious source. With Entice, Rachel Van Dyken pulls out the big guns (pun intended), taking the story in a direction I never would've imagined and blowing my mind in the process.

After being the odd man out in the love triangle opposite Trace and Nixon, I was looking forward to the time when Chase would get his chance at requited romance. Granted, this romance came with an unexpected twist in the form of Mil, but their antagonistic rapport made for an entertaining read. The dichotomy between the couple worked particularly well because their differences complemented each other. Chase's easygoing and playful personality is a far cry from Mil's tendencies toward caution and suspicion, but together, each attempts to fix what is broken in the other.

Chase and Mil's romance provides a welcome respite from the ongoing chaos surrounding them, giving readers a few moments of peace amidst the action-packed narrative. Aside from these moments, though, Entice is nonstop excitement, with the members of the Elect and their families constantly on the alert. There's a sense of anticipation throughout the narrative, knowing something is coming but not quite knowing what that might be. The multiple-narrator format kept me on edge, never knowing what new revelation would emerge to shift the narrative in a new direction.

After reading Entice and the sneak peek of Elicit, I'm not sure whether I love or loathe Rachel Van Dyken for the stress she put me through. While I'm inclined to lean towards the former, my internal monologue while I was reading Entice consisted of a fair amount of curse words and disbelieving exclamations, especially after I read the chapters narrated by Tex towards the end. The short glimpse inside of his mind was fascinating because his character has always been a wild card in terms of his thoughts and motivations. The fact that Tex had me laughing aloud on multiple occasions during such serious circumstances had me (almost) wishing that the entire story was in his point-of-view. From the looks of the preview into Tex and Mo's upcoming story, Elicit, we're in for another pulse-pounding, jaw-dropping, the you-know-what hitting the fan type of read.

To start, I have read the first two books in this series to say I had be anticipating the release of Entice is the understatement of the century!
When I finally got to read this book I just knew it wouldn't disappoint me, I actually haven't found one book by Rachel Van Dyken that has disappointed me yet. This series, with each new book, just keeps getting better and better!
This is Chase and Mil's story and a good one it is! Mil is now the mob boss of the De Lange family (one of the worst in the US)and knowing she needs someone to trust she turns to someone she knows she can, Chase! Needing to forget the loss of the love of his life to his best friend and mob boss to the Abandonato family, he says yes!
Want to know what happens you should grab this book because it is by far the best in the series so far...

I just finished Entice and all I can say is WOW!!! This book picks up where Elect left off, and doesn't leave anything out. After reading Elite and Elect you already know that life in the Mafia isn't always so much fun. In Entice you get an even deeper insight into the daily lives of the family. There is so much action and drama in this book, I didn't want to put it down! The action scenes were written so well that you could visualize everything that was happing. I felt like I was right there with them experiencing everything they were. Entice did very well leading us into Elicit and I for one can't wait!! Thank you once again Rachel Van Dyken for giving us a wonderful reading experience!

Holy. Freaking. Cow. I honestly don't know how Rachel Van Dyken

Holy. Freaking. Cow. I honestly don't know how Rachel Van Dyken gets me so incredibly invested in her characters and the worlds she creates. She has a true gift! Entice, much like the first two books in the series, was near impossible to put down. Once you pick this one up, be sure to carve out a chunk of time because you WILL be on the edge of your seat having to see what comes next!

Where Elite was about the introductions and triad of Nixon, Trace, and Chase in a way, and Elect was about Nixon and Trace coming together, Entice focused more on Chase and his evolving character. Before starting this book, I was a pretty solid Team Nixon. However, it was really hard not to be swayed over to Chase's side as this book progressed. He was so loyal and I love how protective and dutiful he became. There was so much growth in his character and it was such an inspiring transformation the reader got to experience.

I also loved Mil and how strong she became. Even though she had the deck stacked against her, she never faltered and always kept her head on straight. I love such a strong, great female lead! It was truly admirable that she could step into the boss shoes and to the outside world, not even flinch. Her connection with Chase and her ability to change him just stole my heart! The exploration of their feelings left me feeling quite satisfied; I never felt like there was a jump or progression in their dynamic that I didn’t understand

The plot line was also pretty amazing in Entice. It seemed that everything was coming to a head which lead to so much action and being thrown into the mafia lifestyle. I loved seeing Trace accept it and really accept her heritage in a way! There are also plenty of secrets divulged in this installation, some of which caused my eyes to bug out and jaw to drop. Something about the way Rachel writes just makes her worlds, her characters, and the emotions feel real and it is so refreshing! Warning, there is a cliffhanger and it will leave you wanting the next book. However don't let that deter you from this fantastic read. It's a quick page turner that is bound to keep you on the edge of your seat and coming back for more!

Holy sh*# wow! I really enjoyed this one!!
Entice doesn’t disappoint readers as it is filled with intrigue, suspense, and a lot of action! In this, loyalties are tested, relationships are put to the test, and old rivalries between Mafia families reach their very brink!
Readers definitely will be at the edge of their seats with their e-readers as love, danger, and chaos really ensue in this third installment of the Eagle Elite and will make you wonder who is true and who is not.
You will definitely be “Enticed” by this explosive read!! I know I was!!

From the beginning of this series I have ALWAYS had a soft spot

From the beginning of this series I have ALWAYS had a soft spot for Chase. Don't get me wrong, I love Nixon and all,but Chase won me over from the very start. So naturally reading a book that is mainly about him was something I instantly had to have!! Everything in this book just solidfies why I love him so much. After all the Trace-Nixon-Chase drama I was pulling for Chase to find the woman for him. I love Trace, but to me she didn't deserve Chase. He doesn't deserve to be someone's second choice..
While this book is about Chase and Mil, it also focuses on the whole Elect group as a whole. After all they are all connected. I think my favorite thing about this book was all the alternating POVs. Rachel Van Dyken can switch through multiple POVs with ease and the story continued to flow smoothly. I never once thought hearing from others aside from Mil or Chase was uneccessary. Being inside Nixon and Tex's head was completley needed. Though I have to say it would of been nice to hear Mo's POV. I love her!
Anyways- Mil is now head of the De Lange family. It is her job to fix all the mistakes they have made and to prevent them from doing something even worse. Problem is, they don't want her in charge. Chase agrees to marry her, his name, wealth, and loyalty make him very important. He has the means to protect her. I loved watching Mil and Chase develop and grow together.
"I won't let you down. I may be a lot of things, and I may be a terrible husband, since I'm still nursing a broken heart and all that, but I'll be loyal. I'll help you. I'll protect you. That's what family does."- Chase
A lot of stuff happens. This book is action packed and has some mystery elements as well. I could not put it down! I devoured it in a matter of hours! I could have continued reading more and more. Hitting that 100% mark sucked because I wanted more! Of all of the series I have read by Rachel Van Dyken, this one is my favorite. I am always anxiously awaiting what is going to happen next for the Elect. Some things are tied up at the end of this book while new things unravel. I know the last line of this book and the teaser look at the next book have me once again waiting on pins and needles to see where Rachel Van Dyken will take the Elect family next! An easy 5 stars for me!!!

I love Rachel Van Dyken. She's an amazing writer. Ruin is one of my favorite reads from 2013 and Wes is in my top 10 Book Boyfriends ever. So, it's hard for me to explain why I haven't read the Eagle Elite series before now? The only answer I can think of is: I'm stupid! This is the third in the series and it's my favorite. I absolutely loved this book. The writing is outstanding. I've been #TeamChase since I read Elite. I know, I know. I love Nixon, I do, but there's just something about Chase that drew me in. His sexiness, his witty personality, his hero complex, his enormous heart. And, he's not afraid of who he is. And, I have to admit, the guns and fighting to protect what he loves? HOT! He's dangerous, but only to his enemies. Chase has to marry Mil to protect her. They have a history, so there is already sexual tension and witty banter. He's still reeling from his love for Trace, but he's trying to move on. Mil is hilarious! I love her. She's strong and independent and has a lot of power, but she's hiding a very horrible past. She needs to face it to save the lives of everyone who is trying to help her. They have a palpable connection and I couldn't put the book down. And, of course we see Nixon, Trace, Tex and Mo. We learn more about the strained relationship between Mo and Tex and there were a few times where I said outloud "I didn't see that coming!" This book has all of my favorite things: different POV's (it has 3 - Chase, Mil and Nixon), angst, mystery, love, sex, and humor. There's also a nice dose of sadness in this book as well as action. I cried, laughed, screamed, smiled and got all tingly! I can't wait for Tex's story! Bring it on!!

I didn't know what the hell I was doing, all I knew was that she called out to me, she was my siren song, and i was lost at sea.

Married. We were married. So breast? Totally okay. Fine. Not a problem.

"Will you please get off your very nice ass, find something to cover your delectable body, and do it a speed that doesn't make me want to murder someone for breakfast?" -Nixon

Chase: Already through security, see you on the other side, man.
    Me:Going though now
    Chase: Okay
Me: Trace asked how we fly. As is our Family.
    Chase:Uh, was she serious?
    Me: extremely.
    Chase: that made my day.
    Me: Mine too

    Chase naked.
    Chase. Was. Naked.
Damn, I wanted to run my tongue along the trails the water created. My breathing picked up - and I swore under my breath as the same towel ran down his ridiculously tight abs.

Damn beautiful man. God should have at least taken pity on the female race and made him short or fat or anything but what I was starting at. I muscled god with dark skin, bright green eyes and a smile that make a girl immediately want to do anything she could to trap him into marriage.

I want you to know. I want you to freaking feel. I want you to believe me when I say I want you. I like you. I trust you. I live to protect you. And I only do what I want to do.....Pick up the broken pieces of your tragically shattered heart. let me glue them back together again so you can get that damn look off your face and let me kiss you. -Chase

"Screw the white knight...I want to be your savior." -Chase

I now pronounce Rachel Van Dyken as the queen mafia boss.

You heard it right. Rachel Van Dyken. The woman who wrote the Entice. Woman. Who knew a woman could ever write this whole manly, bad ass story? No one. But she did and she did it with class and guns.

I may never got the usual mushy love stories that I really loved from the first two books but Entice is never way too far from those in terms of how great it was written. Well- researched and well- thought. All words were phenomenal you could hear the guns firing, the bombs blazing and the movements of the characters. Word by word, everything was vivid. You will get scared of the guys because of the perfect descriptions that Rachel had put into them and made into life.

My blood was boiling scene after scene. If you have followed the characters too well from Elite to Elect, you will feel their maturity and how far they've grown in Entice. Their minds work too fast but Rachel made sure that you're keeping up with everything. Trace the innocent, cow-loving mafia boss is gone. She was replaced by the gun- ready, kill- now lady who stands beside Nixon but somehow, she can still pull the romance off of him. Nixon being Nixon, well he's the boss and he acts like it. As a reader, I am very satisfied with how he grew from being the romantic, sweet guy to being the hot mafia boss who is ready to kill in a blink.

Chase and Mil. Entice was about them. Their moments and promises of lifetime are much to swoon for but their again, bad ass attitude is the most I admire especially on that particular scene where Mil screamed "Like a Boss" from head to toe. You will never miss Chase's ever protective nature that we had loved. He outgrew his past especially with Trace and took a notch in "being that guy" department where he knew what he needs and what he truly desires.

Aside from them, we had a glance about Tex and Mo's relationship. Still to be read on the next book, Elicit, we had a snap on how their personalities not just as lovers but as part of the family--- the mafia family.

Rachel Van Dyken, together with her characters and books of the Eagle Elite Series, has definitely upped the level in all departments. Entice is not for the faint-hearted. You will feel guns by guns, bombs by bombs and words by words.

When I was younger, I only thought that Sydney Sheldon is the only who could pull off a great mafia story but Rachel proved that she's up there on the list too and I am not afraid to say it. ENTICE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Blood in, not out.

¿A raw and primal struggle for love and survival.¿ My rating

¿A raw and primal struggle for love and survival.¿

    My rating: 4.5 of 5 ¿¿

    Complete blistering, roller-coaster thrill ride!!

The loyal and close-knit families are brilliantly outlined against the gritty backdrop of the dark and violent mafia world by Rachel Van Dyken. With characters that are both sympathetic in their human vulnerabilities and chilling in their cold ruthlessness, this story is a constant balancing act between light and dark.

Chase had thought himself in love, and was still hurting he lost that woman to his best friend, but when he is called upon to help Mil out when she is left exposed to head the dangerous De Lange family, he doesn't hesitate to jump right in. He has a special history with Mil he would like to make up for. But he hasn't counted on the protective instincts she awakens in him.

Mil used Chase once, back when they were teenagers, but it backfired on her when she fell for him. Now that she is left without any loved ones, he is the only one who could help her out, but she needs to be able to keep her distance. She may have miscalculated the impact he still has on her though.

With Chase's support and the Abandanato Family's backing, Mil finds herself empowered enough to stand up and take control of the tatters of the De Lange Family, while keeping herself alive.

It is an absolute necessity to read the previous installments of the Eagle Elite Series, or you will easily get lost. The backstory is an intricate one, with a complicated network of mafia families in a worldwide hierarchy. Although this book has an ending all its own, the dynamics, the atmosphere and the relationships will all be lost on you if you don't understand a bit of the history. But this shouldn't be a hardship, Rachel Van Dyken is a fabulous author and these stories are very hard to put down once started!

¿A raw and primal struggle for love and survival.¿

¿Because every damn road had eventually led me to her, my wife.

“Because every damn road had eventually led me to her, my wife. Going back? Hell no. Not a chance. Because life is about one thing. Love. And Mil? She was mine.” – Chase

Entice is Book 3 in the Eagle Elite series by Rachel Van Dyken. Honestly in my opinion this was most definitely the best yet. This might be because it is the first without a gut wrenching love triangle since it is a well known fact that love triangles give me sever anxiety. Entice was so full of drama, love and action it had everything I knew it would and so much more.

“Holy hell, I was going to end up on Dateline. I was going to end up strangling my bride – in bed, and not Fifty Shades-style. S***.” – Chase

I have been in love with Chase since I first read Elite but at the same time I tried not to get too attached to him because it was so obvious that Trace was meant for Nixon and there would be no happy outcome for Chase in their story. This book was all about Chase finding out what true love really means and how his feelings for Trace were nothing like the feelings he develops for Mil. In Entice, Chase comes into his own and we get to see sweet Chase, sexy Chase and witty Chase but more than anything we get to see Protective in Love Chase. Is there anything sexier than a man willing to sacrifice himself for the woman he loves.

“It was like his mouth was coaxing the life out of me, beckoning my soul, and I was powerless to stop the flood of emotion he demanded I give. But how could I forget? That’s how it had always been with Chase. He was like an addiction,” – Mil

Mil was a slow build for me. I like her from when I met her in Elect but I didn’t love her till Entice. Mil has loved Chase since he took her virginity when she was a young teen. Even though she hates him for leaving after and not saving her then, deep down she loves him and always will. When Mil suddenly becomes the boss of a Mob Family on the verge of extinction she needs constant protection and a bankroll to save herself and the family. This is where things get hard because the only way she sees that she can have this is to have Chase a prominent member of another family marry her. She knows he will protect her and help her grow into the boss she is meant to be. It doesn’t take long to see that their one year fake marriage is going to be so much more.

“Chase will always have a special place in my heart, but he doesn’t own it – you do.” ~Trace

This story has alternating POVs from many characters including Trace and Nixon. I loved that I got to have more of them since they got their HEA. Since the story being told this time is not theirs I really feel like I had the time to really see more of their personalities and how they interact as a couple. Trace loves Nixon with all her heart and all she wants is her forever with him but Nixon is wildly protective and worries about if she really wants in this life for the rest of her life.

““You’re a romantic sex god with mafia mojo.” – Trace

I knew Rachel would tell a story that would pull me in from the beginning but I was not expecting to love this one so much more than the first two (and I really loved those). There is something about Chase and Mil that just feels special. Entice was sexier and funnier than the first two books. The wit in this book was right on and I found that it was just what was needed to break up the non stop action and drama that comes with a story about young people (20ish) running some of the most well know mafia families.

”This was it for me, everything I’d always needed and wanted, found in the one girl I never realized I was missing.” – Chase

Even though you could read this story as a standalone since it does follow a new couple I highly recommend you read Elite and Elect first. Not only will they give you a much needed backstory about what is happening, you also get a lot of insight into why Chase acts the way he does. To truly understand Chase’s love for Mil and how deep it runs, I feel like you need to see him fall in love with Trace first. This series is awesome and unlike any other New Adult series I have read! Bravo Rachel I cannot wait for Elicit!

¿Because I was already falling for pieces of her. correction, I

“Because I was already falling for pieces of her. correction, I was becoming borderline obsessed with those sharp little pieces”

Here is one of those sequels I have been dying to read ever since I put down ELITE. Chase deserves his happy ending and I wanted to give him that right after what happened previously. Trace & Nixon is having theirs, his should be next. But happy ending seemed to lurk in dangerous grounds, and he needed to pass by it in order to get it.

It was one heck of a ride with this two! I knew it would really be a handful, knowing they had a past, and Mil is now the head of the De Lange clan. Mil, however, is not telling the whole truth. She might tell him some things, but she’s keeping the rest. It took one favor, and one yes to once again start a chase, a chase that might lead to their deaths.

Mil had been in love with Chase since she was fourteen years old, along the years, it turned into hate. Now, he had agreed to help her – but he was as dangerous to her heart as she can remember, and perhaps more. Chase had grown to be pretty much dangerous and irresistible – a fatal combination that might destroy her heart. He protects what is his, and he would do anything for his wife, even if it means catching a bullet to save her.

Chase can be dangerous, but he was Mil’s safe. He can be sweet when he wanted too and he was adorable when he follows his wife around like a, well, puppy (although it’s hard to imagine a mafia boss do that!) I was really happy when he finally realized that someone else was meant for him, and embraced the emotion rather than ran away with it.

Mil, on the other hand, didn’t know what it takes to be a Mafia boss, at first. She was young, she was a woman, and now she was the boss of one of the Mafia Clans. How can she do it? Perhaps, Chase would help? Perhaps it would Chase who would lead? Ah… Mil gave me the biggest surprise of my life when she put on her big girl panties and acted like she was born to be the head of the clan. I freakin love this girl!

“When I think of bravery, I think of you.”

The family secrets were small blasts that kept on detonating until the final blast in the end shed enough bloodshed I wonder if I can handle one more secret from these guys. This is what makes this novel so engaging to read – the surprises that keeps on popping up on each pages and the suspense that had me biting my nails the entire time.

Of course, the group was still complete. It was nice to see Nixon and Trace once again – Nixon finally being able to breathe freely once he was sure Trace was all his, and of course Mo and Tex whom I definitely come to adore – I wonder what the future holds for them… I’m sure their story would be an exciting one!

I fell in love with this series the first time I met this young mafia guys who are fiercely brave and loyal. They can be dangerous, but they protect what is theirs and they love their partners with everything that they have. Once you started reading this series, you will love the characters more and more as we dig deeper into their world and face all those risks that comes with their position. It’s a compelling read that will have your hearts beating out of your cage with its suspense and action, swoon with its romance and squirm with its steamy scenes.

Now it’s TEX & MO’s turn – I can feel the excitement had just risen to another level. Yay! Can’t wait!

“You have to fight, Chase Winter. I refuse to live without you.”

I have been waiting on pins and needles, PINS AND NEEDLES I

I have been waiting on pins and needles, PINS AND NEEDLES I SAY! For this book to release and it did not disappoint, not even in the slightest.
Chase and Mil are to be married.
But, how can he marry one girl while being in love with another? He does so out of a sense of duty and honor. He is there to protect her.
How can she marry him when he has no idea what he is getting himself into? She does it to save herself and it’s the smartest move she can make, align herself with the Abandonato’s.
This book had my emotions going all over the place. I felt like I was experiencing everything WITH them. Rachel did a fantastic job with this book and has with this entire series! I seriously cannot wait for Tex and Mo’s story. It can’t come soon enough.

Chase is a hottie!  Boy am I glad Nixon didn't have to kill Chas

Chase is a hottie!  Boy am I glad Nixon didn't have to kill Chase after all.  It would've hurt everyone involved and Mil too.  I was very excited to read Entice and I started it immediately after I finished Elect. Rachel Van Dyken doesn't disappoint.  This book was fantastic!

As is prerequisite in an Eagle Elite series book, there is loads of drama, secrets being revealed, lots of hot guys with quick trigger fingers, and some strong women.  You add that to a strong story line and you've got a book that you won't be able to stop reading even when events might make you cringe.

The only thing about this book I didn't really enjoy so much was Chase's abrupt switch of love from Trace to Mil.  Granted he sort of had to since Trace didn't love him the way he wanted her to and she got married to Nixon, but he also lied to her and played her in an attempt to keep her.  The next thing I know, he's married to Mil, which I get was a business decision, but he's declaring he's in love with her soon after.  Beyond that, I loved Mil.  She's no nonsense and the now head of a mafia family with a lot to prove.  I like how she was a go-getter and didn't put up with crap from anyone.

As I said earlier, this is a great book and fan's of Rachel Van Dyken, those who enjoy darker style books with their romance, and new adult readers will enjoy this book.  It can be read as a stand alone, but does refer to events that occurred in Elect, so if you're new to the series, I'd suggest starting with Elite.
