Marie Johnston was born and raised in the upper Midwest. She continues to live there, enduring frigid winters as a trade-off for smaller bugs, with her husband and four kids. She writes in between her part-time work as a med tech and adjunct instructor for the local community college. Marie hopes to bow out of the lab gracefully and dedicate more time to writing in the near future. Until then, she will continue to sneak to the library to write or greet the crack of dawn with her computer, because nothing attracts kids or an old cat like sitting with an open laptop on the couch.
Heather R. Blair wrote her first book in the first grade and hasn't stopped since. Back then it was all about horses, now it's pretty much the dark, sexy and shivery. She lives in the frozen north of Minnesota, near that big gorgeous lake called Superior and enjoys hiking when the snow melts. She also does murals, rides herd on four monsters(otherwise known as children, ages 8-18), is slightly obsessed with Martin Freeman, British television and things that go bump in the night. She loves reading,(duh!)and interacting with other bibliophiles and authors. An avid reader, I enjoy paranormal romance, urban fantasy and fantasy books. It wasn't a far stretch for me to write a paranormal fantasy. I'm also a computer/sci-fi geek and I've been in computer field for well over 15 years.
Jen Winters fell in love with paranormal romance after her daughter was born and she needed a way to escape reality for a few minutes a day. She loved it so much she decided to take her own pen to it. The world of the Guardians was developed through deeply irreligious conversations with her father who likes to misinterpret scripture as often as humanly possible and a good dose of did-I-just-read-that-! when looking into ancient near eastern mythology and scripture.
