Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Envy is next on Robin Wasserman's list in the Seven Deadly Sins series. The clan from the launch title, Lust, is back; the new installment opens as Beth traces Adam's back while contemplating her suspicions of Adam and Kaia ("who looked like a model and sounded... like a phone sex operator"). The author fills readers in as they go, so they can pick up here or start with the first book-which PW called a "guilty pleasure." Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.
School Library Journal
Gr 9 Up-This sequel to Lust (S & S, 2005) rejoins the overindulged, morally bankrupt students of Haven High who are looking to entertain themselves with sex, parties, and alcohol. They all want relationships with someone who is unavailable and are willing to do anything, and hurt anyone, to achieve their goal. As with the earlier book, the truly unlikable characters are overshadowed by surprisingly good storytelling. Honor and trust are unimportant and the cruelty shown to best friends is especially appalling. Readers who are looking for a fast-paced, soap-opera-style novel will enjoy this compelling and frightening look into what kids today are talking about and dealing with.-Stephanie L. This is my favorite book out of all seven in the series. You get to see the characters' true colors and a plethora of emotions being splayed out at any given moment. Envy is the book where all the twists and turns begin!

So far, I am enjoying the series. Seeing as I loved the movie; 7 Deadly Sins, I wanted to read the books. They follow well with what I watched in the movies and that is one thing I really liked. Another good thing about this book is that readers are able to see the true emotions of the characters. B+

i loved this series so far this is as far as i've read.. the only think that bugged me is how betrayed adam and beth were by harper and kane. i dont believe harper deserves him after all that.

Envy was good, but not nearly as good as Lust. Kaia, Kane, and Harpers plan to break up Beth and Adam was flawless. I wish I could think like that. I don't particularly like Adam and Harper as a couple. But as I read this series, I didn't really like Beth and Adam together either. Kane is a charming player who could have any girl he wanted. I was a bit confused that he chose Beth. But then I realized that he was just trying to get back at Adam because Kane saw her first. It's a good book, and I'll definatly finish the series. But I have a feeling that I might not like the rest of the books.

Scadalism, hooking-up, and heartbreak...all together equal Envy. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The plot is flawless and can be compared to other books like the Gossip Girl series. Recommended to readers who love the following series: Gossip Girl, A-List, and Clique
