Epiphany is the 2009 sophomore release from the Grammy Award-winning R&B vocalist. Two years after releasing her debut album, I Am, which was nominated for a BET Award as well as two Grammys, Chrisette Michele is at it again. This time her sound is more edgy, youthful, and urban. By collaborating with Compound Entertainment (which includes singer/songwriter NeYo), her jazzy vocal style has been infused with a pop and hip-hop soul feel. This CD is excellent! I didn't get it until 2010, and I couldn't believe I had slept on it for so long. For anyone who loves versatility and true vocal ability, GET IT!

Loved this CD. Although this is a great CD and worth having, I did like her first more.

On most albums you either love a least 2 songs and the rest has to grow on you. Instantly I loved song after song. Her voice is soft and sultry and some of the songs are a single girls anthem. Love it :o)

I went out on a limb and bought the CD because of the title trak "Epiphany" and pretty much stuck to that song until one day I was traveling and just let the CD play out. By the second round on repeat I was pleasantly surprised at how relatable the CD was and inturn that ampted the CD's rotation in my collection. Turned out to be one of my favorite CDs of the year. Honestly, not sure if I would venture out and buy her first CD because her vocals, although touching, wasn't impressive enough to buy everything she's put out, however I would recommend this CD to any and everyone with good concious. "Epiphany" "Blame It On Me' "Notebook"...well I could list the whole album....Its just that good! Pick it up.
