Excellent detail with many samples and workarounds

This book presents an in-depth view of the process of creating and editing epub files using a variety of software programs. There are a number of ways to quickly generate an epub file but you still need to fine tune the results if you want a valid epub with an accurate display of formatting, links, fonts, images, and other elements.

Liz Castro provides detailed instructions on how to use Word or InDesign to generate ebooks and how to edit the epub files for quality and consistency across various ereaders and the iPad. There are also additional sample files and guides on her website.

I work in the publishing industry and feel that I have a much better understanding of the inner workings of epub files now that I've read this book.
