Overview

Equites, Book 4 in the Heku Series, starts off with the beginnings of a war. Damon and Emily are still fighting while the Equites defends itself against attacks from both the Valle and the Encala. An accident sends Emily to the hospital, and the tension with the Valle becomes more explosive.

Emily suspects the heku have a secret, and will go to any measure to find out what it is. She comes face-to-face with the darker side of the heku and quickly comes to terms with it. An agricultural coven takes her in and her views of the sinister heku begin to change.

Emily’s past with Keith comes back to haunt her, and a vile attack shows the Equites how far the Valle and Encala are willing to go to gain possession of the Winchester Heirs.

Sam’s loyalty comes into question as Emily finds a small niche out in the world with the mortals. Attacks on her become more dangerous, and she finds that the heku may not be as indestructible as she once thought.

An ultimatum is placed that could upend the entire species.

Meet the Author

T.M. Nielsen doesn't necessarily consider herself an author. She's an every-day woman who had a story to tell. Never intending to let anyone else read it, she decided to put it all down on paper. What she ended up with is a fascinating tale filling books full of drama, adventure, action, romance, and excitement.

When asked why she decided to publish, she stated, "I want for others to be able to forget about problems in life and to lose themselves in my world... the world of the heku. While I write, I laugh, cry, grin, gasp, and my heart races. I want others to experience that too."

T.M. Nielsen is a computer tech by trade and lives with her husband and two beautiful daughters. She's the author of Amazon.com's bestselling series The Heku Series and the Dimensions Saga, along with a Heku Series spin-off book called Return of the Encala. She's been listed numerous times on Apple's Breakout Books and on Amazon.com's top 20 in Fantasy.

    I cannot get enough!

This series turned out to be a real sweet treat! The auther really draws you into their world and keeps you there. It is very hard to put these books down once you start them. I can't wait for the 10th book coming out.

By this fourth book I was getting irritated. Emily was getting on my nerves! This insecure girl has changed into a demanding child. She won't listen, thinks she knows best, and can handle things on her own and it never ends good. I was so tempted to quit reading and delete the other books, but I gritted my teeth and continued on. There was an area in the book that didn't read right...It felt different, like someone else wrote that section, I won't say where because it might of just been a bad moment for me. I still gave the book a five star because the story line is really good so I bought the fifth book....she just gets on my nerves! She can't be that mortal and take what they do to her....which is a lot.......and there is more coming. My next review will be on book six.

This is an awesome series. I love all the character. Emmy is so stubborn and frustrating, LOL which I know she's suppose to be, but also selfless and kind. I love the twist and turns and the way it draws you in. The almost 2000pg fly by, I didn't want to put it down.
There are a few question I have about the Heku that are a little ......questionable I guess. Though maybe I'm just over thinking it. I love reading all kinds of supernatural book. I'm on book 4 now and can wait to read the other 5.

    Not sure.....

So it seems the plot keeps repeating itself.emily is so annoying! Its the whole... "Dont run up the stairs" in scary movies deal. Keeps doing stupid things knowing everyone wants either her dead, her blood,or her babies! But i will say .... I keep reading.

    really nice

this is turning out to be a really nice treat . i do so love the heku and all the characters have such great personallity, but--yes there is a but, does emily have to get into trouble every other page. don't get me wrong i love it all of the story but after reading one of the chapters i'm so emotional i have to step away just to either get my anger under control or to settle down my nerves, or stop the tears. chev is by far the most loving vamp i've come across since wrath from bdb who is running neck and neck with each other as my favorite character. i'm moving on to book 5 but i'm still buying one book at a time just in case i can't take much more. highly recommend to paronormal readers, quite a fresh look at the vamp world.

    Definitely different!

I kept telling myself to not get into this type of book (paranormal) but I ended up reading the whole series. So go figure!

    The series is well done

Nielson was a good surprise as a writer. After reading her first book in the series, i was hooked. She did a great job of pulling you emotionally into the story.

If you enjoy vamoire books, you will enjoy the different twist that Nielson puts into the series. I am already on book 6.

    Captivating

The suspense, romance and especially the feelings that the individuals shared was indeed captivating. From the moment I started Book 1, I could not stop reading until I finished Book 8. My thanks to the author, T. M. Nielsen, for a well written series.
