Erotic Experience

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Mike DaRonco
Ever since the theatrical release of Austin Powers, a wave of nostalgic, swinging '60s jazz has prompted a flood of bland CD reissues or acts trying to cash in on the craze. But Calvert DeForest's Erotic Experience is a sampler of "who's who" in the cocktail lounge genre; each number has its own bachelor pad style. And while acts such as the Craftmatics, Combustible Edison, and Tipsy provide music to make martinis with, the seminal likes of Dusty Springfield, Henry Mancini, Count Basie, and Quincy Jones round out Exotic Experience's sophisticated swank appeal.
