Erotic Fairy Tales: A Romp Through the Classics

Overview

A traditional source of sexual titillation for adult readers, fairy tales historically boasted licentious themes before being cleaned up for the consumption of children in modern times. Seasoned erotica author Mitzi Szereto restores the explicit sex in these 15 tales — and adds some provocative surprises of her own. Here the bawdy humor of French fable meets the sublime eroticism of ancient Chinese myth; a not-so-virgin damsel weds a Prince Charming with a shoe fetish; Little Red Riding Hood discovers Grandma’s ...

Each tale is prefaced by a brief introduction telling its history and the sexual culture in which the work was originally composed.

Erotica who's main characters no nothing about sex

There are quite a few stories in this book and so far, I've only liked a couple. Most of the stories only suggest something erotic or it goes by so fast you just kind of go, "oh. that's it."<BR/><BR/>Here's the thing, I haven't even finished the book. I have about a third of it left. The most annoying thing is the main characters seen to not know what their genitals are, why they have them, or why they get aroused. <BR/><BR/>Ok...I get that it's based on fairy tales and the characters are generally young and protected but seriously...having one scene wear a female is "bathing" her mistresses nether regions with her tongue and the maid calls it a monster and acts like she has no idea what it is. Um, hello? Girl you have one yourself...have you never used a restroom?<BR/><BR/>That's what I find annoying. There are also adult male characters who are shocked by their erection...stuff like that. If you are a total newbie and just want erotic suggestion then this is for you. If you liked Anne Rice's Beauty series like I did, skip this.

    Enjoyment on many levels

EFT is a multi-layed treat, offering sex, humor and literature all in one delightful package. Not what I expected at all. A million times better! I recommend this title to anyone who enjoys quality erotic prose.

Most fun I've had with my pants on!

I had no idea what to expect when this book was given to me for a birthday present. I normally avoid erotica, since most of it seems to be directed toward people challenged in the brain department. But I absolutely adored this collection of stories! First of all, many of them were downright hysterical. Yes, I said hysterical. Having said that, the stories are also extremely erotic. The author writes with a fairy tale tone, and this makes the impact of what she's up to all the more of a surprise. You almost think you are reading something completely innocuous, until you notice some very unusual plot twists and activities you'd never find in your childhood fairy tale books. (No wonder I was always bored reading them!). Thanks to Mitzi Szereto, I now have an all-new appreciation of these classic works of literature, and I'm now into my second read-through of this unique and entertaining book. If you're looking for something different (and sexy!) this is it!

    TOTAL LET DOWN

The concept for this book sounded great.. I just wish that the material would have lived up (even a little bit) to my expectations. Not even close. It was NOT erotic! NOT exciting! It was however.. VERY boring! Each story was your basic fairy tale with a sex scene (which was also boring) inserted someplace. For a good erotic fairy tale check out the 'Beauty' series under Anne Rice's pen name. VERY HOT! This on the other hand was VERY NOT!!!!

    Top draw literary erotica

Szereto cleverly compiles a collection of fairy tales from around the globe and re-interprets them in fine fashion. Her scholarly introductions set off each one, offering the reader insight into how the tales came into our contemporary literature. A truly original piece of work. Heartily recommended for anyone who appreciates good writing and good storytelling with a sexy twist.

    It was okay.

It wasn't a well written work at all. It wasn't very stimulating. It just approached sex from a round-about kind of way.

    Brilliant, witty, clever and sexy!

This is by far the most literate and entertaining erotic book I've read in years. Mitzi Szereto takes the known and gives it a completely different spin, pulling the rug out from under the reader. You still get the essence of fairy tale, but from a markedly adult perspective. The introductions of how each of the fairy tales came into our literature are fascinating, to say the least, and give greater significance to the actual experience of reading the tales. This is one very special book!
