Children's Literature - Traci Avalos
Daddy wolf and his baby getting ready to say goodnight in this charming story. Readers practice a series of short repeated rhymes to follow the pair through their bedtime routine. The pictures use soft colors and convey a very loving and peaceful relationship between a father and his child, and it is shown in a way that children can understand—through the use of animals. The rhymes and repetition are catchy in both languages, and toddlers will easily be able to memorize or follow along. This is a wonderful bedtime picture book that could definitely become part of any child's nighttime traditions. At home, this could be a fun read-aloud, or a text for early readers. With the Spanish translations, this book could also be used in the foreign language classroom when learning about reflexive verbs, as many common reflexive verbs are used and repeated with pictures to illustrate the actions.
