Overview

After saving a drowning man during a savage storm, Abby wakes up in a tropical paradise in a fight for her life. She has no idea how she got there, and notices changes in herself that she cannot explain. Haunted by unsettling dreams of her past, she sets out to escape, joined by Eric, who finds himself in the same predicament. Standing in their way is a madman, and his band of willing followers, with a mind set on murdering their unwelcome visitors. An eccentric hermit who has been living there for years offers them refuge, but they must deny his generosity. Escape is their only option. Yet, they discover this deceptive paradise is harder to leave than they had ever imagined. One mystery leads to another, until their escape throws them into even greater danger as Abby's frightening past finally catches up with her. Her escape is only the beginning.

Obviousy based on the tv show survivor. Nevertheless, this is a well written and executed story that is interesting, fast paced and has well developed characters. Although the first in a series, it has a defined conclusion with a good lead in to the next book in the series

I purchased this book because of the good reviews. I had never read this author before. When I first started it, I was hooked and really enjoyed it. About half way through I thought it was getting weird and stupid. I almost stopped reading. I am glad that I continued reading and finished this book. It really is a great story and is very well written. I have already purchased the two books following this one. I was just not ready to leave these characters yet! I hope you enjoy this book and author as much as I have.

Good book! It def is a mix between Survivor and Hunger Games. Good characters and a weird, but neat adventure. I am going to buy the next book in the series for sure!

This is a good, fairly fast-paced adventure with a bit of romance. It's kind of a quirky mix of Survivor and The Truman Show. It starts out a little slow but picks up the pace. The characters are likeable though not deeply developed. For those who care, there is one sexually explicit scene and occasional nudity. It was enjoyable enough to kill some time! but not enough that I'll read the sequel. JB

Very interesting and unique story with likeable characters and lots of action. The greatest editing error would be when the thugs wake Abby during the night and tell her to sit, she says, "I would assume stand." Most likely the author meant, "I would just as soon stand." Other than that, minor editing errors. Well-done - leaves you wanting more.

A strange plot hanging over the first half of the story almost killed this book for me until some of the incidents began to make some sense. I won't give it away, except to say to keep reading.
