    A Troubled Captain America

According to the ISBN# this is a listing for Essential Captain America Vol. 2, which reprints the comics from 1968 - 1970. It was a tumultuous time for America and Stan Lee reflected that in the stories he wrote, giving us a Captain America who is unsure of his place in the world and is struggling to find his own identity. The Falcon is introduced, who was the second black super-hero, the first African-American super-hero, and still one of my favorite super heroes. The dramatic art by Jack Kirby, Gene Colan, Jim Steranko and others make this a fine volume.
