    Table of Contents Remarks

I keep seeing this come up, not only on this book but all over Barnes and Noble. I decided to purchase this book, because I absolutely loved the selection, and just to see if there really was no table of contents. I was planning to demand a refund if there was no table of contents, because 81 books worth of pages would be entirely too much to navigate without it. There is a table of contents in this book. I followed the instructions from the publisher in the synopsis and voila, there it was. People need to get out their Nook instruction booklet and familiarize themselves with how to work the device and then come back and buy Nookbooks.

    Great Selection

This eBook is particularly good for any one with that list of books they should read. At least a couple of them are going to be in here. The formatting is actually pretty superior to other free versions of many of these titles, and there has clearly been some editing and checking of the OCR. There is a table of contents that links to each title, so worry not about paging through 10,000 screens to get to the book you want. However, the table of contents does not include chapters within each title, so browsing through an individual title is difficult.

    What a steal!

There is no better bargain on Nook. There is definitely an active table of contents separating each of the 80+ novels. Also, I went through my nook content function and added bookmarks to my faves. Happy reading!

    Good value

While these novels and stories may be available other places for free as one of the other reviewers stated, this compilation has somethings going for it to make it worth spending the nominal cost. There is an index that allows you to easily select the next story when and more importantly, I have yet to find the annoying typo's caused by raw scanning of the texts.
There is a wide variety of literature that will accommodate most tastes. While there are many titles in this collection that I won't read, this is a fine compilation of classic stories.

    Table of contents

Great selection of books.....but how to navigate? Press screen for tools, then hit "contents". This shows all books (chapters). Click on one and you are good to go.

    A good buy!

This book is 15,000 pages long! 81 stories! I never actually read *the* alice in wonderland, which im excited about because the game is out 6-14-11. (Alice:madness returns), so i get some real classic background! Plus i have been wanting a copy of the divine comedy of dante a... anyway! For the price, and if you truly want to read the classics in their orig. Form, this is a good buy.

    not indexed

Wow. In a 14,636 page anthology, I would think an index would be a common courtesy. Perhaps you think me picky, that i can use the scroll bar on the botyom if the page. Good luck. The scrolling is not accurate at that size, so trying to find the beginning of Leaves of Grass is just about impossible. Idid so wish to read it tonight.

This is a great book to have for many of the classics I remember from my early school days. I am enjoying re-reading some of my favorites and glad to have them available for my grandchildren.

    Abridged.

I was very disappointed to find that this is abridged. I wouldn't have purchased it if I had known. Very frustrated that I wasted money on this.

    Poor formatting...

I realize this is a great deal, but it's annoying that most any punctuation starts a new line, therefore one sentence can be anywhere from 2-6+ lines.
