Overview

Essentials of College English, 2e is a fast-paced, economical text-workbook designed specifically for the basic college English course. With a focus on developing student proficiency in grammar, punctuation, capitalization, usage, and style, the second edition contains fewer chapters, examples, and reinforcement exercises to facilitate quick student comprehension. With the assistance of Dean Elizabeth Tice, from the University of Phoenix, co-authors Mary Ellen Guffey and Carolyn M. Seefer have produced a refresher text-workbook aimed directly at learning-motivated students. Authoritative coverage in conjunction with strong grammar/mechanics review ensures student value at an economical price.
