Two new chapters -- "Geriatrics" and "Genetics" -- have been added, as well.

Purpose: It is intended to be a summary of crucial points in differential diagnosis and treatment of selected diseases. The book meets its objectives.
Audience: "Practicing clinicians in primary care are the intended audience. "
Features: "Brief summaries of common diseases and their diagnoses and treatments are presented. Notable is the simplicity of the layout with the bulleted sentences. The pearls at the end of each subject are particularly helpful. "
Assessment: This is a very well written and concise summary of detailed common diseases. The bulleted format makes for quick and easy reading. This is a long-awaited second edition.
