Overview

The author, an opponent of the unexamined life, seeks to rouse his readers from their intellectual and spiritual laziness and force them to think, really think, about what they claim to believe. He leads the reader away from extreme positions and toward the balanced, middle position that has characterized Islam at its best. o How does a religious faith came out of nowhere and conquer a significant portion of the known world, and why does it continues to spread today?
o What is it about Islam that continues to attract people at a time when many other religions are either stagnating or actually losing adherents?
o What does Islam say about God, Heaven and Hell, the life of this world and of the next, sin and forgiveness?

M. Fethullah Gülen answers these questions and many others from the viewpoints of rationality, reason, and logic. There is no demand to "believe, or else." Rather, he invites the readers to use their God-given intelligence to understand what they are doing here, why they are here, and where they are going.Gülen's tears, sincerity, altruism, and love have captured millions of hearts . His followers preach, teach, and establish private schools all over the world; publish books and magazines, dailies and weeklies; broadcast television and radio programs; fund scholarships for poor students; and avoid politics and political ambition.

all the questions that I had in my mind were answered

It is an amazing book. It has a different style. I had many questions which I could not find any answers before, but my thirst quenched with the explanations in this book. I liked the examples to prove the sophisticated issues. I will look for different books from this author.

    A reader from MN

It is a great pleasure to tell about this book. It's just wonderful. The author perfectly explains the meaning of our life on the Earth, what are we doing here, and also what exactly Islamic Faith is. I must express that this and some other books of the author have changed my and my family's understanding about the God and life and also our intellectual thinking.
