Javi vive en una casa de madera encima de la ferretería que atiende su madre. Pero dependiendo del clima, de su abuelo, de los tiroteos, o de la furia de su padre, la casa de Javi puede estar arriba o abajo. Con una prosa limpia y exacta, profunda y sutil, esta novela pone en función aquel mandamiento de Nabokov: «acaricien los detalles, los divinos detalles».
