His past holds a secret...

Arie Cush has a secret that he thought he'd left behind. When his past follows him to Chicago he must protect someone that reminds him of all the painful memories he's tried so hard to forget. But when every touch from her sets his heart and body on fire--he finds it hard to maintain his aloof façade.

that becomes her nightmare.

Holly Ellis has secrets of her own. An encounter with the handsome stranger who frequents her coffee shop reveals a vampire with baggage. Even though it might be more than she bargained for, she can't resist the one person who understands her. But her life is in danger and a supernatural threat could reveal the underground world of vampires to humankind in this Gothic Cinderella re-telling.

Heat Level: This book is a steamy romance. It's the development of a romantic relationship that contains more explicit language and sex. The sex is not an inherent part of the story, character growth, or relationship development, and if removed you still have an amazing plot.

Warning: This book is fictitious. The bdsm portrayed in this story does not portray the lifestyle. Vampires will be vampires. They don't exactly stop to discuss a scene, pain thresholds, and there is no aftercare involved. Trust is an intrinsic part of the lifestyle. Use due diligence and research before deciding to make fiction into reality.

Clairvoyant Witches and Vampires!Holly is working at a small coffee shop barely getting by when Arie staets coming in everyday and watching her work while drinking coffee. When they finally start talking she finds out that Arie is a vampire and her aura is what initially drew him to her. Arie also tells her that he was once in love with another woman with the same unusual powers. Holly is a clairvoyant and a witch. Arie has Holly move in with him when Katarina, the woman he turned into a vampire, and once loved, starts killing people in Chicago. In order to trap Katarina and stop her from revealing the existance of vampires to the world, Holly is convinced to play bait for the trap. When Katarina shows up at the clubs gala event and tries to kill Holly. Instead of Holly being killed, she manages to cast a spell to kill Katarina and she is turned into a vampire. This is a fantastic book, obviously there is so much more than this short review can even begin to cover. A must read with some BDSM, romance, vampires, witches and fairies. Great book! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair review.

I really liked this book but then again some people may not like. I liked the characters. I laughed and cried and wanted to hit a few people but hey sometimes that makes for a good read. I found it hot and steamy as well as erotic all in one, but again that is my opinion.

Meeting your one Love this story love about Holly and Arie.  Holly who thought she was just someone who would see thing of people’s future, never expects she’s anything but a regular human. And Arie the vampire who at first starts to come to the coffee shop she works at.  Trouble come for his past and could be the death of her.  Well written and very entertaining to read.  Could not but down once started.

This was a very enjoyable and sexy read. Hollie is such a fun character to read about. She is young yet she has been feeling her life is "old". The best part of her job is that she gets to see Arie and I fully understand why. Arie is a very old vampire who could pose GQ, he is also fascinated by Hollie and her unique aura. Hollie and Arie are such a unusual couple and I was captivated by their story. Arie is intent on saving Hollie from a very cruel vampire but insists on not falling for her at all. Hollie is fine with him protecting her but is going to do everything she cans to show Arie that they could have a great relationship. This story is filled with such a huge range of "characters" and they were just as entertaining as Hollie and Arie. This book is filled with suspense, humor, blood, and sexual chemistry. The storyline is well written and flowed very nicely. I found myself captivated yet disappointed when the book concluded because I wanted more. I will definitely be reading the next book in this wonderful paranormal series!

Eternal Ever After. A.C. James Review from Jeannie Zelos Book reviews. I thought this sounded fun, I loved the way Arie sounded so mysterious, and Holly one of those flawed heroines so easy to identify with. Sadly it didn't work for me, Arie was at times totally irritating and other times really interesting. He was hot and cold, giving Holly come on signals then pushing her away. It did sound at times like the Twilight beginnings, but simply didn't work that way in such a short novel. “I’m not good for you, you should stay away” - we heard that ad nauseum from Edward didn't we, and it grated to hear the same words from Arie. Instead their romance seemed to jump in great leaps, without really anything ever happening. Holly, she was at times forward – telling Arie he should ask her out, then other times very self conscious? When he revealed – very quickly – that he was a big, bad vampire she was “oh – OK” and I’d have expected more of a reaction. I couldn't really empathise with either of them. I needed more build-up and more of them actually getting together and talking, not just this on and off jumpy progression. The plot-line – parts worked well, when Holly was having flashbacks for example – I really felt as if I was there with her. Unfortunately that wasn't enough to pull the overall feel of the novel up – the characters felt very clichéd rather than fresh. I know the vampire genre is swamped and its tough, but for me this book didn't cut it. Someone mentioned the Twilight feel – I agree in parts, Arie being older and the comments I picked up, Holly being a target, the feel of the Vampires friends in the club feel like the Cullen family. I just find it hard that the problem Arie has to sort that’s causing danger for Holly has been left so long. I can't imagine that the others would have ignored it, and that problems wouldn't have been piling up over many years already. I think maybe for me its a novel that’s tried top pack too much in a short space. The witch/godmother/dress creation section for example didn't really add to the main plot – it was one of the parts I really liked, but it didn't complete any of the existing plots and took up valuable space. It really deserved expansion into a novel of its own. The BDSM elements seemed pretty irrelevant, and read as if added for the sake of adding some spice. It didn't need the warning that came with it....Even the flashbacks – they read really well, but took up a lot of space and some were just jaunts into history, adding nothing to the main plot though very well written and realistic. Better IMO to have concentrated on simply Holly/Arie, and the main problem. But... that just my opinion as always – we all want different things and I’m sure others will love this novel – just didn't work for me sadly. Stars: two. ARC supplied by Netgalley.

I liked this paranormal read. The story held my interest throughout and the sex is steamy. I liked Arie but he seemed to lack confidence and needed more attitude for his Dom side to shine through. Holy was interesting as well, but nothing seemed to phase her and a lot was going on, all she seemed focused on was sleeping with Arie. Perhaps we will find out more as the series continues however everything seems a bit jumbled at the moment. Looking forward to reading more.

I am a big fan of Vampire books and have a number of favorites. While I do like this one I wouldn't put it up as a favorite. It more a likeable good book with potential. Since it's the first in the series that can be a good thing. It gives it growing room. Now about the book. It introduces us to Arie Cush a sexy, apparently heavily into procrastination in that he's been putting off dealing with a major problem in a timely manor or in other words his crazy killer ex, vampire who's into BDSM. Then there is Holly Ellis a pretty waitress at a coffee shop who just happens to also be a clairvoyant witch. Their chemistry is undeniable and they find themselves growing closer which of course manages to attract the unwanted attention of Arie's ex or in other words gets crazy to come a calling. I like this book it is fun, humorous, somewhat fast paced at times, with a lot of hot action going just over all interesting book. I will definitely continue reading the series and I suggest you give it a try. Received an ARC copy L.

For the hot and erotic scenes, five stars. For the incoherence in writing and seemingly out of sequence of events a couple of times, three stars. Averages out to 4 stars. Arie is the typical great looking, wealthy, centuries old debonair vampire. He falls in love with Holly, a dead ringer for his psychotic, ex girlfriend vampire who is on the loose. There were definite new and promising ideas regarding vampires and the supernatural. Most females were depicted as strong, independent, and bad a**! One of the characters had chosen celibacy and that enhanced her abilities. I would have liked a spin off novel on that character. There was predictability with Arie and Holly. How she manages to be left alone when 3 different people had their eyes on her... Who knows. But the reader knew it had to happen for how else is the psychotic one able to try and destroy her now nemesis? Overall, a quick read that gets your inner juices flowing.

I was recommended this by a friend and I was not sure of it when I read the synopsis - This book contains erotic paranormal romance with light bdsm and other adult themes, but I am so glad that she did, as I really enjoyed the storyline and getting to know the characters. This is also the first book that I have read by A.C. James and it won't be my last. Holly is a 22 year old who works as a waitress in a quiet coffee shop, she is glad that it is a quiet shop as she has the ability to see visions - past, present or future happenings when she touches people (she has the sight or she is known as a Seer), so her life can be interesting shall we say because she can see what people are thinking when they touch her so it is hard to have a relationship as when she gets skin contact - the visions start. Arie Cush is an ancient vampire and he is drawn to Holly and her aura and keeps frequenting the coffee shop most days so that he can see her. Holly reminds him of his ex lover Katarina, someone he and other people would like to forget as she is mad and dangerous. Holly is also drawn to Arie and when he reveals what he is, she does not freak like he expected her too, Arie does not want to get involved with Holly because he knows that she will get hurt because he can not seem to move on because of the way Katarina was, but they end up not being able to deny the hot passion that burns between them and things take their course. Holly is then introduced the the Hell Fire Club and Arie's other friends and of course BDSM. This is when the jealous Katarina shows her face again and threatens Holly because she is in a relationship with Arie and things start to get nasty and Katarina starts causing havoc and nearly revealing that there are vampires to humans, and that can not happen, so a plan is hatched to stop her. I do not want to reveal too much of the story but if you like vampires, witches, faeries and other supernatural creatures, romance, and a good story line then I would definitely recommend this book for you.

I do not like this book.  The story and the characters never grabbed me.  I found the lead female character's (Holly's) internal monologue to be annoying, and it did not flow well.  This woman seems to be bland, and she is not interesting to me.  The lead male, the vampire Arie, was slightly annoying with his flirting one moment and warning away Holly the next moment.  I also find it irritating that Holly becomes dizzy whenever she gets close to Arie early in the book.  The book reminds me of Charlaine Harris's first book of the Sookie Stackhouse series, and I did not like that one either, so fans of Charlaine Harris might like this book

This was an interesting read. I enjoyed the different characters. Victoria was my favorite. I enjoy a strong and independent lady in a book. Instead of a girl always cowering and needing to be saved. I'll read the next book

I enjoyed this book, i would be very interested in learning more about Holly as i didn't connect well to her in this book. The book does start abit slow while we learn about the characters.

This read has all of the elements of a vampire thriller. The crazy vampire who threatens to expose them by killing indiscriminately. The main male character who can't make up his mind whether he still loves said crazy vampire or the sweet little witch who reminds him of the crazy vampire. The sweet little witch who even when she finds out the fine man is a vampire decides she still wants to jump his bones. It's a quick hot read with BDSM elements in it. Enjoy I did.

I loved the story all though it was short and the flow was a bit choppy. There could have been a few more details added to make it flow better. I liked Holly instantly. She is fun, smart, and sassy. Arie took a bit to like but he is fierce and sweet. This story is definitely a keeper.

This is a very steamy, erotic, and boundary riding book. You are taken for a ride along with its main characters. The exploration into BDSM  through the eyes of a "vanilla" sex experienced girl is breathtaking. Holly is not your average leading lady. She is stuck in a job she really  doesn't like, is struggling in the relationship department, and has an odd gift that makes life difficult. She is a Seer, having visions whenever they decide to come on without warning. Sometimes they are helpful but usually just hard to understand. She is trying to figure  out what comes next when Arie enters the Diner and changes life as she knows it. A tall, sexy, bad boy who makes her temperature boil  just looking at him. He takes her into another world full of Vampires, sex, and good old fashioned lust. Together they unite to seek out an  enraged Vampiress with only revenge on her mind. As they look for and avoid her the passions rise and each is tempted by the flesh. You will have to embark on this journey and see how it progresses. Just remember this is only the first installment of a very provocative  series that will leave you very satisfied and begging for more.
