Overview

"Everything will end today, and begin anew. Trust yourself to me."

Tomoyuki Makabe is smart, successful, and hopelessly single. Six years have passed since he went to college and fell in love with the charismatic Aswil al-Murshid, a rich and unusual classmate, who mysteriously leaves Tomoyuki while promising he'll return for him someday. Tomoyuki manages to rebuild his existence with a flourishing career in business and interpretation, and as the years pass by, he pours himself into his work, and tries to forget about this one man whom he had given his heart to.

Then, on what seemed to be a routine business trip to England, Tomoyuki is kidnapped and finds himself in a desert palace in the country of Madina. His fear turns to shock when he is reunited with his old flame who appears to be next in line to rule the country! On top of it all, Aswil seems to feel he can do whatever he wants, and that includes Tomoyuki!

Can Tomoyuki assert himself against the one man that makes him feel powerless? Or will he fall to the love that has been held in his heart for a long, lonely six years? Mizumi Takaoka presents an exotic Arabian tale of love versus duty under the scorching desert sun!

This book is an amazing blend of angst, love, and royal arabian culture. It is something I would definitely recommend to any yaoi lovers but if you are just looking for a bunch of steamy scenes this might not be the book for you although it lacks an abundance of sex scenes (with only one full blown one) it holds the appeal of two attractive men with a forbidden love that is unallowed by everyone. I definitely think youll love it.

Great story about how a 6 year love can still remain somewhat between to people. How one would do anything to keep the other one down, and how one just wishes noneother than to go home. Involves family problems, desert life, bad parts of towns and brothels. But the ending is worth reading, just seeing how one would give up something more important than him to be with the one he loves, and how there lives change because of each other.

First, the synopsis is only half right--there is no robbery and second, is isn't Aswile, it's Aswil...Geez. Despite the misleading synopsis, this is a very fast read. There's a whole lot of kissing and lust and don't forget the drama! Imagine your ex-boyfriend/girlfriend up and leaving you and 6 years later suddenly kidnapping you --that's pretty much how this story goes. Tomoyuki is an easy character to relate to and it was a fun read.
