Overview

Emily continues her quest to seek revenge for the death of her Cavalry, much to the dismay of the Equites and Encala Faction. The Equites are in a race against time to locate the fallen Encala Elder in hopes of preventing a war, but Emily is dead set on keeping him until he's suffered for the deaths.

The Encala overstep in their mission to regain Frederick, forcing Chevalier's darker side forward. As Alexis grows, she struggles to fit into the world of the heku, and strives to find a place in a world she only partially belongs to.

Emily befriends a strange mortal man, a self-proclaimed Vampire Hunter, and he causes tension in the house as heku and hunter have a power-struggle over protecting Emily. A trip to the Valle turns disastrous when Emily and Kralen are caught in a battle caused by the Encala, and Kralen finds himself unable to protect her, and returns to his coven. Emily goes to extreme measures to return her friend and guard, and gives him an offer he can't refuse.

Another ancient being emerges and again separates Emily from her beloved heku. The Cavalry sets out to find her and Chevalier decides to handle the Encala himself. Mysterious things begin happening to Emily, and Chevalier swears to find the source.

Meet the Author

T.M. Nielsen doesn't necessarily consider herself an author. She's an every-day woman who had a story to tell. Never intending to let anyone else read it, she decided to put it all down on paper. What she ended up with is a fascinating tale filling books full of drama, adventure, action, romance, and excitement. When asked why she decided to publish, she stated, "I want for others to be able to forget about problems in life and to lose themselves in my world... the world of the heku. While I write, I laugh, cry, grin, gasp, and my heart races. I want others to experience that too." T.M. Nielsen is a computer tech by trade and lives with her husband and two beautiful daughters. She's the author of Amazon.com's bestselling series The Heku Series and the Dimensions Saga, along with a Heku Series spin-off book called Return of the Encala. She's been listed numerous times on Apple's Breakout Books and on Amazon.com's top 20 in Fantasy. **** From TM **** I updated my books all the time! Check back often for new, cleaner versions. I can't afford an editor, but any time I hear of an error, I fix it immediately.

The suspense, romance and especially the feelings that the individuals shared was indeed captivating. From the moment I started Book 1, I could not stop reading until I finished Book 8. My thanks to the author, T. M. Nielsen, for a well written series.

I really enjoyed the Heku Adventure! Please let there be more! It's not often that you come across a find like this! I found myself laughing, crying, giggling and getting angry with Emily and her family. Thanks again for bringing them into my life!

Completely loved these books! I read all 7 and am really hoping for more books. TM captured me with Heku and then kept going strong. This book is better if you get the new Extended version. It has everything, adventure, action, romance, humor, and drama. I even talked hubby into reading it and he's now hooked.

That it had some sex in it. More JRWard style sex. Lol hated Emily first 3 or 4 books. I felt she was whiny weak and just could not like her. Books 5 6 &7 hade me in tears so many times had to stop reading and take short breaks to calm down. In this book which is quite long i was starting to get frustrated with the author. Seriously these heku are thouands of years old and they cant figure out that everytime she isnt with her guard friends something bad haappens? THINK AUTHOR could think of some new things so it doesnt becomr so predictable. Started hating the heku in this one because they were being so damn stupid. Well onto numer 8 .

If you want to read a book all about Emily's suffering then this is it. I love all books in series except this one.

So I have loved this series up until now. I am not even sure if I will buy the next book in this series. All the books have shown Emily to be a strong central character that always bounces back. In this book, Emily is no longer the normal Emily due to the brainwashing from another heku. I couldn't believe that by the end of the book, Emily was still different and that she still hadn't returned to normal after 3 1/2 years of being back with Chev! It was boring to read and it was a long book too. I am very disappointed in this book but overall I still love the series.
