I read a lot of paranormal fiction. Some are good, some are bad, this one was the worst. There's absolutely no plot, no character development, NO editing. Skyla is one dimensional with every guy falling for her for no apparent reason after knowing her for five minutes. There were mistakes in every paragraph: spelling, grammar, contradictions, misspelled words that made no sense, blank pages in mid paragraph. Just bad.

Everyone's gorgeous and perfect (sic). Skyla's immature, selfish and so self absorbed and unlikeable it's painful to read. She needs to be saved more times than Bella from Twilight. What drove me insane was the appalling grammar and the constant senseless switching back and forth "I like Gage. No, I like Logan. No, it's Gage. No, I think I like Logan more." Every five minutes she's in love with someone else, even though she doesn't know them, doesn't know anything about them, and probably never will since the characters are too flat to have any background or depth to them. I wish I had never bothered wasting my time with this.

I have never written a review but I had to review this book. I hated Skyla. She was so annoying and unlikeable with her constant whining and complaining. The plot lacked any cohesion and read like the author hurried to publish the first draft just to be done with it. Inane dialog and typos in almost each sentence. There's constant jumping around in actions like the author was bored with writing a scene, then she'd break it off abruptly and write about something else with no transition between the scenes.

The book starts out with a move to Paragon Island and 16 year old Skyla finds herself perplexed when she meets a boy who shares her ability to read minds. She discovers she is an angel and becomes involved in a love triangle. Super fun. Moves quick.

The characters were one dimensional. The details and description were a bare minimum if any. The chapters are cut off for the sake of making it look like there's lots of them. The book jumps around which made me wonder whether the author cut out a few pages. The grammar was awful! I made the mistake to buy two more books and forced myself through them. The story drags on so the author can fill more books with a story that just turns in circles and isn't even strong enough for one book. Not worth it.

I had a hard time finishing this one. Several times I gave up and forced myself to go back to it because I don't like to leave a book unfinished but it was a chore because I've never read anything so boring. The almost non existent plot copies a lot from other books with endless clichés and nothing new. If I want a summary of other books I can reread those!

I bought this thinking I'd get a paranormal romance with a remotely interesting high school girl. For seventy five per cent of the book all we get is boring chatter from a teen girl. There's absolutely no action. Finally, at the end, we get something that's just boring and certainly not enough to keep my interest and buy the next book in the series. Boring plot where nothing happens and spelling mistakes aplenty. Judging from the other comments it seems to be common with this author.
