Meet the Author

Robert G. Wirsing is the author of India, Pakistan, and the Kashmir Dispute; Kashmir in the Shadow of War; and Religious Radicalism and Security in South Asia. He is a former consultant on South Asian security issues to the U.S. Department of State, and has appeared on the PBS New Hour with Jim Lehrer as a Kashmir expert. Rouben Azizian is a political science professor at the University of Auckland–New Zealand and a former Soviet and Russian foreign service agent. He is the coauthor of Ethnic Challenges Beyond Borders and the author of Nuclear Developments in South Asia and the Future of Global Arms Control and Russia in Asia.
