    A true Bohannan

I found the 50 less pages actually written by the author to be general and poorly researched. It appears the only person interviewed was Bud who did not attend the trials and was bias in regards to Mary Bohannan. Yes Jack was a hell of a man that loved his brother Elmer deeply and ultimately saved his life. I will love and cherish his memory forever. I hope a book is written that actually does justice to him.

    Great Read

A true case of the victim on trial rather than the accused. Well-written saga.

    A Good Book

Made me a little upset to see the victim on trial. This book is like a feud you would picture from the 30's or 40's rather than 1972. Holds your interest.

    a look into the past

I enjoyed this book & found it to be full of history. It seems well informed, with the facts & details coming straight from court documents. I felt like I was right there in court on the edge of my seat the entire time.

    A Book Of Fairytales?

I have grown up in and around Eureka Springs my whole life.My Aunt was even Married to one of Jack's brothers. The stories I have been told of what actualy happened differ somewhat from the authors account. Maybe should do a little more research with the people that lived in that time..

Facts in this book are from Transcripts and Newspaper articles.

I found the book very accurate to events. The facts are in the court transcripts and newspaper articles--not the author's fault the newspaper got a name wrong. The book just tells the events as they are in the transcripts. I recommend the book myself.

    Well Researched?

I grew up in the Eureka Springs area. Alot of people here have problems with this book. First of all, Jack Bohannon's mother's name is Malisha not Marsha among other things. I am old enough to remember when the events of this book took place. I also know the Bohannon family very well. I do not recommend this book.

    A reviewer

I recall this case well. The court transccripts provide clearly what was occurring at that time. A large book, but unable to put it down! Highly recommended read.
