All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
The three-CD/one-DVD set Europe 2009 captures two different concerts: the CDs chronicles a July 5 concert in Lucca, Italy, and the DVD documents a June 26 show at the O2 Academy Brixton in London, England. Both concerts were given not long after the release of the band's 2009 album Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King, so it's not surprising that both draw deeply from that record. More interesting for longtime DMB fans, though, is that this is the first official document of the band after the death of saxophonist LeRoi Moore. Amazing DVD!

I really bought this package to own the DVD - Live from Brixton Academy. The DVD is outstanding. Beautifully shot and edited. Really amazing capture of the evening. The photo book is cool but seems like something I'll only look at every once in a while. And the performance of the bonus show - Live in Lucca - is pretty good. There are nice moments but I don't consider it to be as solid as the performance on the DVD. Overall, 4 stars out of 5. Hopefully they sell the DVD on its own (Blu-Ray!) in the future! :)

Great mix and sound quality, one of DMB's best DVD releases

DMB's performance from the Brixton Academy is phenomenally captured on video. The sound mix for this DVD is absolutely fantastic. The CD of their performance from Lucca, Italy is equally amazing. The bonus photo book from their European tour includes a great set of photos from all of their shows. Definitely worth the purchase!
