This is an excellent travel book. Because it is small, it's easy to tuck in your purse, back pack or whatever. It's so thorough, it makes the most of each meal on the road. It can bring a great new dimension to eating in countries with French, German, Spanish or Italian menus! It's so inexpensive, it's a great bon voyage gift for a friend or for yourself We love ours! With this easy to carry guide, I felt confident ordering in any restaurant. As a result, I had much more interesting foods and dining experiences. It is packed with information, yet handy and simple to use. Highly recommended!

As a novice traveler, I found it helpful to read this little treasure BEFORE I arrive in the country of choice-----to get a sense of how the menu words look and sound and equally the insights into the customs and personal hints that have broader application than just the local restaurant. In the next edition.....two or three suggestions for appropriate lunch or dinner wines that I can pronounce!

We used it in Paris. It was a big help. It is easy to use and understand. Don't leave home without it!!

Outstanding! Exactly what I've been looking for. And it fits right in my shirt pocket. Now I always know what I want to order without having to ask a waiter who may not speak English any better than I speak his language. I can't imagine ever traveling without it. Get a copy. You'd be glad you did.
