There are unexpected twists and turns as the main character Alba finds herself mysteriously at her grandmother's desolate home in the mountains after just recalling she had been in a car accident with her parents. She recalls her parents both dying and that she received an awful head injury, which she finds has already healed into a scar. The time between the accident and arriving at her grandmother's house has become forgotten. She soon finds that something within the surrounding forest has brought her to this place because family secrets that were meant to remain in the grave will come through her as she fights her inner demons.
