How do you tell Satan that you ran over his dog?
Evangeline Hollis has no idea, and she doesn’t want to find out. She’d rather forget the Infernal that nearly wiped out her training class and killed some of the best demonhunting Marks in the world. Living with the Mark of Cain—and the two sexy brothers who come with it—is trouble enough.
Satan has put a bounty on Eve’s head, and Hell’s denizens are converging on Southern California. The Infernals are complicating Eve’s hunts and creating chaos in her once orderly life. They’ve also brought her to the attention of an overzealous reverend who’s certain she’s Jezebel reincarnate.
In this book we get to meet characters that had been hinted at in the previous novels. We aren't disappointed. However, some readers may be displeased with the implications and aspersions made about those characters and their history. If however the reader has gotten this far in the series I doubt anything they read in this novel would be a big surprise.
Eve again finds herself in the center of a maelstrom. In the end the reader is left wondering who is playing with whom.
There is plenty of action more development of the heirarchy of heaven and hell and resolution of some threads from the previous two novels.
The book leaves one feeling that the adventure has ended but, there is more of this story to tell.
Overall somewhere along the long you just get the feeling that Eve is going to have to sit down with Jehovah face to face and try to get her situation resolved. Judging from what I've seen in this series - she won't like the results.
The beginning of this synopsis is great, "How do you tell Satan you ran over his dog?" Truthfully, very carefully...ha ha ha!!! I love the way it's written, again the characters are great. I wonder if there will be a fourth book. Anything can happen.

This is your typical story girl finds two brothers and the brothers are both in love with the same girl. And the girl is semi in love with both brothers as well. Now through in the mix that the two bro's are arch angels and Eve is a fighter for god.... well that makes the story more interesting. Eve isn't one of the strongest female characters out there and she is sort of inept....but you like her anyway. So if you like the story of Cain and Abel....I think you'll like this series.

Chaos was no exception until the end of the book, the previous two books left you hanging a little but there was always a book after so you werent left in the dark too much. But with this book possibly being the last in the series i was really hoping S.J Day would tie everything up, or at least give you few less questions to be answered.
All in all i love the series recommend that you read them, but if you hate open ended storylines then maybe not. I know this one will be eating at me for awhile.
I enjoy the series, but...one of the few things...actually one of the only things that bugs me about these stories, is the fact that while Evangeline is close to her mother, her mother calls her what was it...Evie-san. San? Really? I never thought of that use of the word as a sign of affection. I always felt that it was how you regard strangers with respect. You know. Like saying Miss Evangeline. Is S. J. Day Japanese? Or does he/she know any people that know the language? I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm truly curious about the choice to use the honorary term -san. It totally doesn't jive with the relationship that Evangeline and her mother have.

Who would have thought they would be funny? I did not like the cliffhanger at the end but the rest was good.
