Overview

Sometimes hope for the future is found in the ashes of yesterday. EVEN NOW A young woman seeking answers to her heart’s deepest questions. A man and woman driven apart by lies and years of separation…who have never forgotten each other. With hallmark tenderness and power, Karen Kingsbury weaves a tapestry of lives, losses, love, and faith—and the miracle of resurrection. EVER AFTER 2007 Christian Book of the Year Two couples torn apart – one by war between countries, and one by a war within. In this moving sequel to Even Now, Emily Anderson, now twenty, meets the man who changes everything for her: Army reservist Justin Baker. Their tender relationship, founded on a mutual faith in God and nurtured by their trust and love for each other, proves to be a shining inspiration to everyone they know, especially Emily’s reunited birth parents. But Lauren and Shane still struggle to move past their opposing beliefs about war, politics, and faith. When tragedy strikes, can they set aside their opposing views so that love—God’s love—might win, no matter how great the odds?

I read this book in a total of two days. It is the best book I have ever read and I read alot. I just couldn't put it down. I got hooked in from by only reading the second chapter! This book changed how I thought about war and what the soldiers are over there doing, it also changed my view point on God and Faith. All in the best possible ways. This book has forever touched me and I won't ever forget the story. I am only thirteen, so this book was not what I would normaly read, but I am glad that I decided to try it anyways. I barely ever thought about the soldiers that are over their protecting us and never truely understood what they were doing. This book shows what true love is, and how no matter how long the bridge, love is always on the other side. I fell in love with this book. This is a great book and I recommend it to anyone! A great read that is great for anyone and everything!

These books were a joy to ready. It showed how with love and faith you can over come anything. It also shows how much the military needs our support regardless of what about beliefs on the war in Iraq is. Will def bring tears to your eyes. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I have.

Very seldom will a book bring me to real tears. These two books are a must read for the patriotic and the romantic. It will open your heart to help you understand the unintended consequences of your choices and God's healing touch and His plan for your life.

Second book was a little slow in the beginning. But so sad I cried through the rest. Was glad of the ending though. Well worth the money.
