She risked her life to save a human child. Pain was her reward.

All her life, Emma longed for someone to love. Instead, disaster sees the brand-new bard banished from her people for long lonely years. Injured saving a child, the werebear has to steal food from humans, breaking shifter Law. The territory's Cosantir and his lethal grizzly warrior catch her in the act. To her surprise, she's healed and welcomed. Obviously, they don't know her past. But oh, she can't resist being around other shifters-especially the captivatingly powerful warrior. Maybe she can stay...just a little while.

As a grizzly warrior, Ben is ordered to house the pretty werebear until she heals. His littermate abandoned him, his home is empty, and he's been alone for a long time. Intelligent and sweet and lushly curved, Emma is a delight...even if she is oddly reticent about her past. Although having sworn off females, he's sorely tempted by this one. Damned if he doesn't want to keep her, secrets or not.

Females were trouble. Years past, one split Ryder from his littermate. Now the panther shifter is returning to Ben, bringing his cub with him, a four-year-old he stole from the abusive female. To Ryder's annoyance, his brother is sheltering a wounded bear. A female. Even worse, she's beautiful and gentle and loving-damned if he's going to fall for that act again. But when the dark of the moon arrives and death reigns supreme, he'll discover that not all females are alike.

In a world filled with hellhounds and pixies, can three lonely shifters and one silent cub create a new family together?

300+ pages. Ben, Ryder, Emma and most importantly, Minette. Best characters ever. Or until the next book Cherise Sinclair writes. Or I re-read a previous book. With this return to the Daonain series, Ms. Sinclair has yet another awesome book. It was wonderful seeing friends from the first 2 books again. This story was just enthralling. This is a stand-alone book but reading the first two books definitely enriches the reading enjoyment of this one. No cliff-hanger, Thank God. With writing the great, there's no reason to blackmail readers back. This is also a complete book in and of itself. All the books in the series are. Yes, some of the characters are recurring. IMO, that only adds to the depth of this book. I wish it were longer, I always do. A few thousand pages would still be too short. I wish Ms. Sinclair wrote and published faster. A new book every day would not be enough. I purchased my copy. Actually, I pre-purchased it. With Cherise Sinclair, I always pre-purchase. I swear she could write a phone book and it would be wonderful. Anyway, this is my review for the book I bought. No arc here.

I like this series but not quite as well as the Shadowlands, Dark Haven and Masters series which is odd because I love paranormal but I think I would like a little more grit in this series to give 5 stars. Still its a good read, well worth the $ and reading time. Sinclair stays on my favorites shelf.

Reviewed by Annie and posted at Under The Covers Book Blog In the third book of the Wild Hunt Legacy, Cherise Sinclair delights readers with a sweet but sexy story about an injured werebear, a grizzly warrior and a panther shifter. Sweet Emma was injured when she tried to save human children from being attacked by a hellhound. On the brink of death, she was found and taken in by Ben and his people until she fully heals. It’s at the same time that Ryder, the panther shifter returns after years of being away. This time though, he is not alone. He has brought his four-year-old daughter Minette with him after having learned about his daughter and taking her away from her abusive mother. As you can tell, there’s plenty more going on in this story than just a hot time. All the characters have quite a bit of depth to them and that’s why this book felt more like a Paranormal Romance than just something sexy that we are used to from Sinclair. She actually takes a lot of time in this book, building up the relationships. I have to appreciate something like that because when you have three main characters, it’s can be a little more tricky to believe in their love in one another. But with these three, I really felt like they cared about each other by the end. The romance is very strong in this book and thus, it made for a very beautiful book. In addition to that, Sinclair also has some terribly cute moments with Emma and Ben’s daughter, Minette. These were actually some of my favorite parts of the story because not only does it show the kindness in Emma’s heart but it also showed how she was able to gain Minette’s trust, and in turn, Ben’s trust as well. Since he is so wary of every female he meets after what had happened, this is an important part of the story. Beautiful from start to finish, EVENTIDE OF THE BEAR has become my favorite of the series!

I am a huge Cherise Sinclair fan. All or series and stand alones are amazing. This book kept me so entralled that I couldn't put it down. Emma, Ben, and Ryder are amazing and little Minnette *sp* as well. After reading this book and refreshing my memory with the characters from the previous two books in this series, I have decided I am read to do a re-read of this series! Great job Cherise! Can't wait for more!

This was a good story, not great but good . It dragged quite a bit in the middle but other than that it had great characters . Well worth the time.

Slides through several low shrubs before emerging in a small birch hollow. He looks around cauously before climbing the tallest tree. Once in one of the uppermost branches he sits and looks across the forest. His pelt turned to a blazeing oarnge color by the sun. His smokey blue eyes scaning the forest. He sighs thinking about a certian cat from his clan. He shakes his head thinking that it will shurely never happen. He looks around untill he spots the rockclan camp. "Strange" he thinks,"I've always been more at home in the trees insted of in the camp." He wonders why this is. Mabe because he has nothing to bring him back, nobody to come home to, no one to love, to call his own. He sighs agian and closes his eyes thinking of the cat he loves but that doesn't love him back.
