Overview

Best-selling author Hal Lindsey explains how, on September 11, an ancient fight-to-the-death conflict exploded on the shores of the U.S. Though most Americans didn't realize it, we were already involved in this struggle. A struggle driven by a hatred that goes back over 4000 years. Islamic fundamentalism's purpose is to replace the Judeo-Christian world order with an Islamic world order. Every American needs to understand the enormity of the threat we face -- and why.In the aftermath of 9/11 most Americans are asking:* Why do most Muslims hate Jews?* Why do Islamic fundamentalists hate the United States and call it The Great Satan?* Why did Islamic terrorists sacrifice their own lives to kill Americans?* Do Islamic fundamentalists have access to weapons of mass destruction?* Could Islamic terrorists imperil the survival of the United States?* What light does Bible prophecy shed on this?* Does the Koran call for violence and conquest?* Are the Islamic fundamentalists an aberration of the Muslim religion, or are they - as they claim - the True followers of Mohammad?

Seldom has a book been as timely and appropriate as this one ! This book is right on the money ! Hal Lindsey gets straight to the heart of the Islamic/Moslem hatred for the Jews, Christians, the US and the West generally. Starting with the cold blooded murder of journalist Daniel Pearl, the author addresses present day events and the situation facing us all in the wake of the September 11 atrocities in the US. Approaching each and every aspect from a Christian/Biblical perspective. He reveals the real fundamentalist Islamic position on violence, conquest and the infidels (that's us), as revealed in the Koran and the Haddith. Hal Lindsey addresses in considerable detail, the Islamic fundamentalist purpose and agenda of replacing the Judeo-Christian, Western world with a new Islamic world order. He provides an in depth analysis of the Biblical promises to the people of Israel in relation to the Land presently disputed between the Jewish state and the Arab world, including Jerusalem. Also studied are the roots of anti-Semitism and the history of Islam, Mohammed and the Biblical references to the descendants of Ishmael. Of particular note are the sections devoted to the Palestinian people, their origins etc., and the overwhelming atmosphere of hatred so prevalent at this time in the Middle East. The very roots of this hatred are at the heart of this study and I highly recommend this. It is a shame that only five stars can be allocated, as this book deserves more !

This is a terrific book even if you don't want to read authors who take the Bible literally, even if you are offended by copy editors that can't see grammar and spelling errors. Hal Lindsey has put together a historical account of Islamic terror, violence, Jew-hatred, and hatred of the West, which gibes with Islamic as well as Western accounts, and yet is profoundly shocking. Before reading him I agreed with my friends that the Arabs were the underdogs against mighty Israel. Yet I always knew -- I just wasn't thinking straight -- that the Arabs have a combined population of 250,000,000, to Israel's 5 million. I had shoved to the back of my mind that Israel's Arab neighbors have vast lands, against a map of which you cannot even see the tiny sliver that is Israel. But also the book is full of things I didn't know, and which I now realize are true. Did you know that the Israelis are not only outmanned but heavily outgunned in all their wars? That the UN could not document any Palestinian "homes" in Israel going back more than two years? That many of the "Palestinian" refugees from Israel were Bosnian Islamics that had come there for Jihad against Jews? That Palestinian Arabs mostly immigrated to Israel and the West Bank after Jews had created jobs and services there? That Mohammed began his career with a massacre of Medina's Jews, assuring his followers that killing Jews (and Christians) was a religious duty, and the booty was "Allah's thanks?" And that modern Islamic leaders say the same thing? If the book has a serious flaw it is in the religious credulousness of its author. He takes Revelations very literally. But if you are a Christian fundamentalist too you won't mind that.

This book is so sad. I Hope no one reads this book. Why don't you go ahead and read the Beautiful Quran for yourselves? As a human being I KNOW that it is the TRUE book of GOD. Please go educate yourself, but not with this nonsense. The people giving this 5 stars are either being paid by the author or are the author itself. How sad people can be. Let me give you a quick opening to the Quran; "The most gracious and most merciful.." Go read the English translation at a library or if you truly want to give yours eyes a gift, order it online. Good luck and may God help you on your way.

Lies, misinformation and distortion of history.

This book is filled with lies and distortions that are easily disproven. It says all sort of things are in the Islamic Koran, but doesn't cite any particular verses. Why? Because they aren't there. I know, as I read the Koran in its entirety. He also uses Joan Peters 'From Time Immemorial' extensively as a source. This is laughable because her book is infamous, proven a fraud many years ago by a variety of scholars. It was an elaborate and scholarly-looking fraud, but a fraud nonetheless! The best part about the book is that the lies and hatred are so blatant, they are easy to spot...unless you're a brainwashed idiot.
