Yes, you need an sd card. It's also free. It's a great way to share notes between your nook, your pc and your mac.

An already great app is moved wholesale to the nook and while it has some nice upsides for those wanting a mobile interface larger than a phone screen, the nook version has buttons for voice recording, photos, etc. Unfortunately the nook lacks the ability to fully utilize these extras. This is a neat notetaking app has seen some ups and downs frome its humble (and very functional) beginning but with note linking and a slick interface, it has a lot of functionality to offer on the nook.

Evernote makes my life easier.
What is it with people that use review space to ask questions on use? Look it up or go on a forum. Don't give the app one star because of your lack of information.

I just heard about Evernote a week ago ( yes, I must have been living under a rock) and it has quickly become one of my favorite apps for everything.
You need an SD card to run it and wifi to access your notes unless you become a paid user, but come on it is fantastic. I agree with previous raters, this is something that ahould be on your phone as well. Since this app allows you to sync across multiple platforms, why not have it on EVERYTHING?
Go buy a SD card, throw some pictures on it, and enjoy this fantastic application.

I used to be addicted to Microsoft OneNote. Then I got a lot of devices on which OneNote was either not available or completely useless. Now I have Evernote installed on my PC, Mac, iPhone, and NookColor. It's an excellent cross-platform tool for organizing your notes and your life. Highly recommended for any techie who needs help staying on-task or keeping track of ideas.

I use this on my Nook, my phone, and my computer. This app is great and should not have such a low rating. I thought more nook owners would have more intelligents, but apperently most are inept 5 year olds. MicroSD cards are very cheap and are very useful. I store my music and books on my nook and movies on my 16gb MicroSD. Anyways, great app.

First of all it needs and sd card. Frankly im surprised people are shocked because if you use your nook a lot and have a ton of booksband apps like I do then 4gb of memory is not enough. I have thisbapp on my pc and the nook and it keeps the note synchronized and organized. I have a lot of classes and thisnis the perfect fix because my notes are typed and on my pc. Since the files are on the cloud i wouldnt put any personal information. Also, there is a membership fee involved if you want some added perks like password protection on the nook and more space. However, it isnt really needed and you can still get a lot of work done just being a free member.

HAS to have signal to work...made for phones & devices with
constant WiFi, like a PC & router combo....NOT for the Nook. Evernote does not "EVER" give reminders...and will not even OPEN.... WITHOUT WiFi, so content then is useless. Also Evernote keeps touting camera uses...and Nooks have none.
Nooks need to have the BLUETOOTH that is ON their motherboard ACTIVATED & available to connect to phones with signal....OR have their own WiFi access-point!! Let's get constant signal available for Nooks at our next upgrade!!

Note: u must have an sd card and evernote to do this. Ok listen i know this sounds weird, but u can make ur own book with evernote! K heres what u do:
1. First, create a new note on evernote.
2. Name it whatever u want, and then put .txt on the end. Dont foget the period!
3. Write ur note. Do whatever!
4. Click on the bottom left corner of the screen. (Notifcation center) click on the thing that says, "sd card inserted".
5. Then click on evernote, notes, and the three letter words.
6. Now click on what popped up after the three letter words. It should be a long line of letters/numbers.
7. Under that, will be some unclickable things. ( gray letters) repeat step 6 until uve oppened every thing. Now there should be some black bold letters saying somthing similar to: "note-(lots of letters here)-scan". Click on it. Somthing will pop up wanting to know what u want to use to complete the process. Click on ereader edit. Now u have ur own book when u get back to ur home screen! Dont be worried its not EXCATLY what i described.
Replie @yourpersonalappgeek :)

Evernote is good if you are connected to the network. You lose access to your files once you go offline. But isn't that the whole purpose of a portable, to have your stuff wile you're away? Offline access is available for premium users. For that you psy 5.00/month or 45.00/year. Springpad is a better solution, free offline.

I use Evernote on an Android phone, tablet, home laptop, work laptop and home desktop to keep my notes / thoughts in order and I have to say that it has never let me down. It syncs all of my data perfectly ensuring I always have the most up to date version of my notes at my finger tips. A+ application! For those giving this app a low rating because it requires an SD card; quit being so cheap. The devs need to keep their code in check with other versions to ensure we have the best experience across all platforms / devices. Besides, not all HARDWARE allows internal memory to be read / written to by third party sources. Stop blaming the devs!

EVERYBODY THAT RATES THIS LOW, please be fair and read the entire overview! The overview tells you that you will need an SD card. It also tells you what it does. It is a very useful tool because it will sync to all your devices, like your pc, your smart phone, your tablet, ect. It can be used as a platform to collaborate with others on documents. Students can use it to send snapshots of their notes from that boring class English 101. If you download and install this, and forget what it does: on your app page go to the top of page and seach for more apps. Arrange the results to be displayed in order of pricing (this eas free). What you have installed should show up as purchased. Voila! Then you can read the overview again. I just read the overview again and it gave additional uses I didn't think to use it for previously. Great app! Plus it's free forever.

We really need to get the newer updated version of this. This version is finding the generic android update and trying to install it, which won't install.
