Overview

What happens when a Rock Star in Disguise meets a Billionaire in hiding?

Georgie doesn’t know who she is dating.

At a high society wedding, Georgie Johnson is introduced to Alexandre de Valentinois, a hereditary duke of nothing who flies around the world on his private planes and describes himself as “one of those despicable, idle rich men.” Yet, when pressed, he sings at the wedding in a gorgeous, clear tenor that tugs at Georgie’s soul, and miraculously, he calms her paralyzing stage fright so she can accompany him on the piano, even though she thought she had left her classical music career behind when she went into hiding.

But Alexandre has a dark side. His name is Xan Valentine, and he’s the rock star front man for Killer Valentine. He’s famous, but his paparazzi-dogged lifestyle might get Georgie killed.

“What happens when a rock star in disguise meets a billionaire in hiding?” … sparks fly and we get an awesome story to enjoy! I have been reading both the Billionaires in Disguise and Rock Stars in Disguise series. This episode ties them together beautifully, adding new dimensions to both. Xan is so driven to make his band, Killer Valentine, a success that he is willing to do just about anything to make sure it happens. Because he strained his vocal cords, the band is forced to cancel some concerts. Xan decides to go to his cousin’s wedding in Paris to rest, but fate(and Flicka) have other plans in store for him. Georgie has gone to great lengths to hide who, and what, she is. She changed her name and left behind everything (and everyone, including Flicka) she knew growing up. When she gets a message from Rae, one of her suitemates, asking her to fly to Paris that day for something “secret”, she packs her things, along with her roommate, and heads off, hoping her past doesn’t catch up with her. The “secret” is that there is going to be a second wedding that weekend. Xan, whose real name is Alexandre, is introduced to Georgie by a Flicka, who coerces them into performing for the group. The rehearsal and performance scenes were so amazing! The more time they spend together, the more Xan/Alex and Georgie bond. Both have their secrets and both have their agendas. Their love of music also ties them together. Georgie is so independent and used to taking care of others, will she be able to let go and trust Xan/Alex to take care of her? I loved this story and can’t wait to read more!!! I was provided with a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

Every Breath You Take by Blair Babylon, the first book by this author for me but OMG it is definitely not the last. It was an amazing journey of two people who were so lost that they needed to find each other in order to heal. The book oozed heart and passion from ever page, it was as if it was travelling through my fingers to touch my very soul – I’m gobsmacked at how I feel about it! It showed more than I thought I was going to get it gave me love and passion in absolute bin loads and moreover it was full of desire, hope, longing, honesty and devotion – not just from the characters but from the author also because her devotion to her craft was clearly evident in this book – she nailed it!! Being asked to play, off the cuff at her friend’s wedding is almost too much for Georgie but she has a guardian angel in her midst – the beautifully named stranger - Alexandre de Valentinois. His soothing tone and calming words ease her mind and her nerves and she finds that the passion she has fought for so long begins to rise to the surface again. Georgie isn’t looking for a relationship, in fact she isn’t looking for anything but she can’t help herself when it comes to the man that has the ability to sooth her soul. Alexandre was every bit as exotic and mysterious as you could imagine but he has secrets, things that lurked deep within him and that no matter how hard he tried he may never be able to bury completely, but if they meant that Georgie was in danger, would he be able to protect her or would he have to stay away? Fate has its reasons for the hands that we are dealt in life and while as individuals both Alexandre and Georgie were amazing, it was the character that they each held within that drew me to them. They were beautiful, creative individuals who were the complete compliment to each other, two halves of the same whole as some would say. It was as if they had no control over the draw that their souls had to each other. They were merely along for the ride. As much as they tried to fight the feelings so to speak neither of them had a choice. Georgie was that Alexandre was quickly becoming central to everything good in her life and Alexandre was determined that he was to follow his heart and that he would never let her go. Quantifying their feelings was not possible – they just felt and for that you had to admire the fact that they were prepared to accept their fate and love completely. After finishing the book, I have to say that Blair Babylon is a rare find, one that’s ability to weave magic with her words leaves you in little doubt that her level of talent is not easily come by.

Every Breath You Take was an absolutely stunning and creatively passionate exploration of two lost and lonely people finding the missing part of their heart and soul in each other. What a breathtaking journey filled with unwanted hope, unwavering love, and unexpected devotion! This series is continuing with such a brilliant depth of heart and soul that I just can’t get enough of. I am definitely looking forward to more of these ground-breaking stories if they are anything like this one. Georgie is invited to the wedding of a very dear friend and then shocked when asked to play an impromptu performance with a complete stranger. His name is Alexandre de Valentinois, and he turns out to be her savior in more than one way. His insistent yet tender manner helps to calm her nerves and rejuvenate her love of music. She knows she can’t afford to get involved with anyone and yet there is something about him that calls to her like no other. The easy way in which he stokes the long frozen coals of her passion for music feels like forbidden magic and unimaginable bliss to her soul. Alexandre has his own dark secrets just like Georgie, but could his secrets put her life in even more danger? What are they each willing to sacrifice to follow their heart, and will they find what they need the most before it’s too late? I was utterly mesmerized by these two beautifully unique and amazing characters that brought out the best in each other. The held no expectations for each other, but even still, they managed to weave life and hope in the other’s soul. Their meeting may have seemed like an accident, but when fate brings together two hearts, nothing can get its way. No matter how much Georgie tried to rationalize how she felt towards Alexandre, she couldn’t deny how much he was quickly becoming a very good and important part of her life and her heart refused to let him go easily. The light, inspiration, and passion that Georgia brought into Alexandre’s life was not something he wanted to life without, and he made his intentions very well known to her. We need to come to a place in our lives where taking a risk in the name of love and life is necessary even if there is no way to justify it. Love cannot be justified, and it also cannot be lived without. Blair Babylon surprised me with the first book in this series starring Rhianna, and she took my breath away with Alexandre’s story. We came to see a very different and incredibly unforgettable side of the lead singer Xan. This story couldn’t have been more perfect, and I can’t wait to see whose story she writes about next! I am definitely becoming a fan of Blair and her unbelievable writing talent. She packs so much heart and soul into each story that she writes, and her talents only continue to improve with each new and brilliant story she creates.

Georgie and Xan/Alex make a great couple! I’ve read a few of Blair Babylon’s books in the Billionaires in Disguise and Rock Stars in Disguise series, and although I enjoy her writing no matter what, I much prefer the Rock Stars in Disguise set. The Billionaires in Disguise are a bit dark for my taste. I read Falling Hard and it was very hard to read at times. I couldn’t bring myself to read the sequels because I didn’t want to read any more about Lizzy being tortured (which is how I interpreted it). But back to this story (in which Lizzy also makes an appearance)….. Every Breath You Take was the intersection of the two series. Georgie from Billionaires in Disguise and Xan (Alex) from Rock Stars in Disguise were a great pairing. Both were messed up in their own ways and this created an unexpected bond for them. Neither wanted a relationship for their own reasons, but they soon discovered that they understood each other in a way no one else did. As a side note, we also learned a bit more about The Dom (Billionaires in Disguise) and his unexpected connection to Georgie. These were complex characters. I enjoyed learning about the darkness inside of Alex, the struggle to define himself, and the way he visualized the music in colors. Georgie, hiding from a terrible past which was never fully explained, fought her need to express herself musically and Alex released that in her. He also helped her to express some other needs of which she had been unaware. Still, she has no intention of becoming attached to him. But we readers know better (after all, there is a part 2). I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to reading part 2. I think that Georgie and Alex have something “real” between them and I’d like to see how their relationship progresses. I’m glad that they’re both self-aware enough to realize they have something more, even if they are both fighting it. I recommend this book as well as the others in the Rock Stars in Disguise series.

This book was soooo good, I couldn't put it down. The plot in so breath taking, she keep you on the edge at every turn of the page. Can't wait to start on the next book. Wild Thing, I'll start today! One thing you'll never get any thing done, like house work, so do that before you pick up the book, because you'll never put down until the end, and that's a fact. LOL Barbara

Blair writes these works that just make you feel like you are IN a movie. Her descriptions are powerful and help develop the world she takes you too.  I enjoyed meeting her main characters and seeing into their psyche. They are so three dimensional that I felt like I was among friends.  There are a couple of plotlines happening at the same time. That makes this book extremely exciting. I want to get lost in more of this story so Blair needs to get busy! I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

When you are running from trouble the best place to hide is a royal wedding in Paris. Well it worked for Georgie anyway. And why not hit the sheets with the hot violinist with the voice that melts your panties while you're at it. This sexy one night stand takes on a life of its own. She's hiding from the Russian mob, he's hiding who he really is from her maye ensues. Georgie is a gifted pianist on the run from her father's debts and Xan is the voice and the power behind Killer Valentine, an up and coming rock band ready to set the music industry on its ear. If you like music, mystery, and intrigue mixed with amazing sex you need Georgie and Xan. Thank you Blair Babylon for this wild ride! Michelle S

5 Stars From Sammy's Book Obsession MY THOUGHTS~  I was provided with a Review Copy/ARC for review. I loved reading about Zan & Georgie! They are such interesting characters on their own, but together, they're just...wow! There will be more to their story though, of course, because this was just the beginning. No resolution or HEA, but no cliffy really either. I knew this going in though. The writing is great, as usual, and the characters are so well developed. Author Blair Babylon has extreme talent here. My only issue is not even with this book itself as much as with the series, or I should say series', I guess. I'm confused with how all these are suppose to go! I know there are some that don't technically have to be read in order, but I have no idea which one is which! I'm just lost here! Now, with Every Breath You Take, two series' are coming together! I will definitely be checking around for a "reading order" list.  These books are great though, no doubt! You won't regret reading them -no matter where you jump in the series' at!

Georgie and Alex bringing two series together - 5+++ stars I have been patiently waiting for Georgie's story to be told and man, was I excited to find out that Xan was going to be a part of it. This way, I got more of both series/characters. There were hints in previous books that Xan was "more" than what he appeared to be and we finally learn what that something is. However, there are still things that I want to know about him, so I hope that information comes out in the next book. We also learn more about Georgie and how she knew Wulf's sister and how much he actually knew about her when he hired her to work at The Devilhouse. I love the way Blair has woven all of these stories together and we actually get to see what happened to certain characters during the same situation that we read about in other books (for example, in this book, we are back at the civil marriage of Wulf and Rae and leaving to go to the dinner when gunshots disrupt the process), which basically gives us an insight to what each character was feeling or thinking during the same timeframe. I absolutely LOVE Blair's writing and look forward to the next book to be released. There is so much more that I want to know about Xan and Georgie. You definitely want to read this series, but you can actually read this book as a stand alone and not be lost. Just be aware that there is a cliffhanger here. I'm sure that it will all be worth it in the end. **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**

I can’t wait for the next episode. I love Blair Babylon’s Billionaires/Rock Stars in Disguise series. This book ends with a cliffhanger, which I am usually not a fan of. I’m learning to make an exception to this though, for authors whose work I really love. I have read all of the other stories in the BID/RID series and loved them so I had to have this one as soon as I was offered an ARC to read. The BID: Rae, BID: Lizzy and BID/RID: Georgie/Xan stories all contain connected characters but each serial can also be read on its own. The blurb for this book is pretty accurate so I won’t rehash it. What I will say is that both Georgie and Alex/Xan have secrets that aren’t fully revealed in this episode. The story is very compelling and has some good sexy times. I love the way Blair describes things, and I was left with wanting more. I can’t wait for the next episode in Georgie’s story.

Excellent read with good strong characters. I like how the author has woven the two series together. Xan Valentine is running himself into the ground. During some forced time off he attends the wedding of a childhood friend and meets Georgie Johnson. She's in need of a little relaxation herself and things take off from there. She has no idea he is a big rock star and he has no idea she is running from a life that caused nothing but pain. This is a wild sexy story that is thoroughly entertaining. I definitely recommend it.
