Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Julia Beiker
Do you know how many chocolate Hershey's kisses are made in one minute? How far a jet can travel in one minute? At what speed the solar system travels around the Milky Way? In "Every Minute on Earth," we find out cool facts about all the different things that happen in one minute. This book is divided into eight categories including Earth, Space, The Human Body, Technology, Animals, Food, Pop Culture, and Sports. Each section has several fascinating pages that tell a minute fact then go into more detail about it. This is a revolutionary way of teaching Science. Without knowing it, a young readers fills their brains with vital tidbits that could help them perform better on tests or write exciting research papers. At the end of each section, a simple activity awaits the readers to challenge their ability in a one-minute endeavor of their own. The colorful and animated cover and back will attract you instantly to the book. Basic blue and black illustrations cover the inside pages of the book, which add to the overall appeal of the book. With so many original facts, it must have taken authors, Steve and Matthew Murrie, a good deal of research to check all this out and make sure nothing could be disputed. At the back of the book, the reader will find the acknowledgements and the index. This book is a must for any school or science library where students are encouraged to be active researchers.

    I absolutely loved this book!

It's been awhile since I found myself totally engrossed within the pages of a non-fiction book, but authors Steve & Matthew Murrie managed to keep my attention from the first page to the last with EVERY MINUTE ON EARTH.
