Everybody's Guide to Natural Sleep reviews dozens of safe alternatives to prescription or nonprescription sleeping pills, from folk medicine to the latest clinic research. Well written and well organized, this revised edition of a 1978 favorite reads like a new book, not a rehash. Libraries needing another sleep book will find this a worthwhile purchase. Stop Your Husband from Snoring , however, is a don't buy. This book is less about snoring and more about an uncommon breathing disorder called Obstructive Sleep Apnea; the text blurs the distinction between the two. This is a confusing book with a cutesy title. Lipman's information on snoring can be found in any responsible book on sleep such as Peter Hauri and Shirley Linde's No More Sleepless Nights ( LJ 5/1/90) or the other title reviewed here . -- Evelyn L.
