Jaime Obertubbesing has a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in Elementary Education and a minor in Visual Arts. She currently resides in Colorado Springs, where she has been teaching for the past nine years.Jaime got into teaching because she loves the energy, passion, and sense of wonder that children possess. There is something special about witnessing that spark in a child's eyes when a concept finally clicks. She also admires how children feel each moment and don't hold back. After wondering at what point we lose that innocence and become so self-aware, she tries to live life through a child's eyes-enjoying each moment for what it is and the memories that come along with them. She is known for taking pictures of everything to capture the value of a moment. She also enjoys creative writing and has always wanted to dip her toes in journalism and editing. Jaime spends her weekends enjoying live music, dancing, soaking up the sunshine as much as possible, and hanging out with friends and family. To her, it never matters what she is doing-it is about enjoying the company she's sharing the experience with. Jaime is always up for a new adventure. After all, life is too short to be anything but happy.
