Elyn Joy is a Denver author specializing in early readers (Once Upon a Pigeon and Other Retold Fables [CR Success Learning] as well as other educational publications and training materials. Her new Reflective Young Readers series aims to combine entertainment, education, and character-building in beautiful, easy-to-read children's stories. Elyn lives in Denver, Colorado, so she infuses all of her books with a hint of mountain air and sunshine.

Darling, thought provoking children's book.

This book is about listening and respecting differing points of view. Throughout the book the Author delivers adorable/thought provoking messages about the importance of respect and kindness. Every page is beautifully illustrated in bright colors with a message allowing for discussion and reflection. As a school mental health professional, I am able to use this book in the classroom as it includes discussion questions which are relevant to daily issues.

At a contentious time in American history, this book is a nice reminder that everyone has a point of view and should be treated with kindness, civility and understanding! It may be a children's book, but should be required reading for all! Congrats to Elyn Joy​ for writing such a meaningful book!

Kids love the illustrations and it is wonderful to watch their lights go on as they understand the concept of how different points of view exist everywhere we look.
