I love cryptograms (when I'm not doing crosswords) and I was excited to see a new title available. But I was extremely disappointed when I opened this book. It is not user friendly! The type is small and it is hard to distinguish word groups. And worst of all, the lines are so close together that there is no room for solving! Also, the creator allows a letter to stand for itself, and says that 'it is just the nature of cryptograms.' Every other book I have used indicates that a letter will NEVER stand for itself. The creator also states that this happens because 'there is no specific way to convert the letters' which is also not accurate. (See Norma Gleason's Cryptograms and Spygrams, published by Dover) I wonder if the creator is using a poor computer program?
