    Lewis Lives On!

The Everything Guide To C.S. Lewis and Narnia is just what it promises to be: authoritative. The series uses a simple formula of Fact, Question and They said (memorable quotes).

The reader will travel through the life of Lewis from his childhood to his final days. The early days deal with the family and life in Ireland and then to England. It explores his relationship with family members and the relocation from Ireland to England. The Lewis pilgrimage through childhood is nicely framed in the chapters with nice little text blocks annotating important quotes and facts. An important aspect that is carried through each chapter of which there are 20. Later relationships are also examined and laid out with important details and insights from many sources outside of Lewis himself.

If you do not know Lewis and wish a crash course this will suit you right done to the ground. It has a nice on-line resource section and bibliography. Yes there is an index too. Some how this is a biography without being a typical biography in that it fast to read and strong on facts and sources.

The depth and scope of Lewis' works from myth to sci-fi and inspirational writings are to a great degree outlined in Everything Lewis. To give more information here is not really possible but if you want to know why Lewis should be studied and read then his legacy will become quite apparent within the pages of this important source book. I highly recommend this book.
