Great book for a beginner. I needed a book that not only gave me recipes, but explain the basics of high levels of cholesterol. I wanted something easy with ingredients that are easy to find. The step by step directions are very clear, and the dishes I've made are very, very good. Knowing your doing something for the good of your heath in such a simple manner is rewarding, and encouraging to keep moving in the right direction. I use this book as a platform for most of my meals. It's easy to substitute many of the ingredients for the young and older members of my family. It surely has cut out a lot of the research for me.
