The Everything Soup Cookbook is a must for cooks, soup-lovers and those who have adventurous palates. The directions are easy to follow, although the more esoteric ingredients used for some recipes can be tricky to find. That said, there are plenty of basic soups, cream soups, and soups from other cultures. I use this book two or three times a week and my husband and I have become soup junkies.
One of the best books I have ever read about war, the soldiers that fight them and the true cost of the Iraq conflict.
