Great read, very comprehensive and insightful into the world of social networking, blogging, podcasts and more. Topper clearly has a unique understanding of social media and she helps define the benefits of its uses as well as gives the reader the overall picture of what social media is and why we should use it. If you're a marketing professional or even if you're not, I highly recommend you purchase this book. Also, great for Baby Boomers that want to learn how to better communicate with their children using the Internet. Kudos to the author...Glad to finally see a book like this out there for us beginners!

I was looking for a tool that would kick start me into this new form of marketing.Basically I wanted to go from a dinosaur to a pure breed show dog in this area while taking as little time as possibble.

Being middle aged I've always used the excuse that I missed being completely computer savy by one generation. When in reality I was just making an excuse to put off the innevitable. Then before I knew it all I kept hearing about is Facebook,Twitter,LinkedIn etc, etc. So I knew it was time for me to either step up a attept to learn about this new "Social Media" or decide to fall on the technology wayside and let it and my competition pass me by.

A colleague of mine recommended I try reading Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Social Media But Were Afraid To Ask. I was reluctant to read this at first because I expected it to read like a technical manual. But from the very beginning I was happily surprised at what an easy read it is.

As I progressed through the book I was surprised at how easily it took me a beginner and started teaching me not only all that is available but very simply how to use each site all the while entertaining me. I enjoyed how each site was thoroughly explained and even gave me ideas of which site would work best for me.

So having completed this book I am now known as the go to guy amongst my colleagues for assistance and advice on the different options available. And everytime they ask for my assistance and advice on these options is easy, my advice is to read this book!

    No Longer Afraid to Ask

Hillary Topper's social media book really hits the mark. She breaks down the complicated topic of social media and makes it easy to understand and (more importantly) easy to use. I am now much more comfortable using these tools as well as sharing my new found knowledge. Thanks Hilary for putting this together.
