This book is the bottom line!

In all reality, the Bible should be the bottom line. But there are so many out there who want to shoot the Bible, and Christianity down. If you want to educate yourself of the lies being told about both of the above said, this book is a excellent defense of the Christian faith. This should settle much of any questions any Christian has of his or her beliefs, and help ground them soundly against any arguements any critics have. This book is a must for any seminary professor whishing to reinforce his or her teachings to future ministers.

    Provides Evidence for Christ's Resurrection

McDowell provides historical evidence for why the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the best proved fact of ancient history. It could not possibly have been made up by the early church.

A great resource, there are no wasted pages here.

This isn't a book that you generally read from front to back in a short amount of time. It is more of a reference book for the various arguments for a logical faith. The Bible has been argued against for thousands of years in various ways, this book is meant to address the toughest arguments in a systematic way. I was a skeptic before reading it, but after I finished it I became a Christian because all of my doubts were addressed one by one. This book tackles tough questions with solid answers. I highly recommend it for anyone needing a solid source for information about the validity of the Bible.

    Not my style

I must have misunderstood the premise of the book. After 5 pages I abandoned it. Rare action for me.

    McDowell's claims are weak.

McDowell has no knowledge of any kind into the history of biblical times or that of the ancient near east and the impact the time had on the texts they produced. McDowell's "evidence" falls flat when confronted with REAL biblical scholarship.
